It’s bright, fun, and beautiful. Our wedding blog is turning hot pink and lime green with this neon wedding today. The duo let their personalities shine through their special day, making sure to incorporate their favorite colors and games. The result was an entertaining affair that was all their own. Did we mention how pretty it is too? From the outdoor farm venue to the bride’s flower crown, to the eye-catching ceremony backdrop.
From the Bride…
“Wade and I knew from the very beginning exactly what kind of wedding we wanted. We wanted a laid back, summer garden party type of feel that reflected our personalities and creativity. I’ve always been a fan bright colors and thought what better way to express our love than with neon and gold glitter. It was a, “unique” and “bold” choice, as I was told many times by friends, family and vendors; but everything came together beautifully and it was the day of our dreams.
Living in Arizona, our days and evenings are often spent outside enjoying the weather with friends and family taking part in some healthy competition games such as corn hole and bocce ball. Incorporating these games and more into our wedding day seemed like a natural fit. We made a custom giant jenga set, a life size connect four game and 3 sets of corn hole boards to keep our guests entertained. We added additional personal touches to the bright and cheery décor in the ceremony backdrop which doubled as a polaroid photo station, as well as the large crepe paper MR & MRS letters.
The food and especially the beer was a top priority for Wade, so we made sure to have some extra special selections such as IPAs and pale ales for our guests to enjoy. The highlight of the evening for me was our first dance to a beautiful cover of, “Forever Young” just as the sun was setting and all the colors of the sky seemed to mimic the joyful colors of our wedding.
The months and months of DIY projects, although overwhelming at times, was more than worth it in the end. It was the most wonderful day of our lives and I wish I could do it all over again and again.”
