This adorable nursery was literally made with love by all the little one’s doting family members! Her plush pink & white room was the efforts of DIY projects by mom & dad, grandparents, and aunts & uncles, that turned out beautifully, if we do say! A floral ‘A’ is a focal point in the pretty room, and the white furniture and gold hardware make a gorgeous statement! Mom, Megan Bailey not only designed it but photographed it too!
Meagan shares, Ever since Cody and I found out we were pregnant, I have been working so hard on her nursery, from saving up to splurge on the bookcase I knew I wanted, to all the DIY projects I have worked on. Most of the things in her nursery were DIY projects that we worked on together and homemade gifts from family and friends! The big “A” above her crib was made by my mom, grandmother, my dad and myself, from florals we bought at Hobby Lobby and glued to a cut-out A from my dad. The Wall Weaving was made by my cousin Rachel who is so talented – I will always cherish it. The “AB” painting was made by a friend of mine, Lindsey, who hand painted her initials on a blank canvas that matches her nursery perfectly.
I recovered an old stool we had in our house to make the fluffy plush sheepskin top and spray painted the legs gold. Since we were on a budget and had little room to work with, my dad made a changing pad that fit right on top of her crib to save on space! It’s so special to us because we all have put our own unique touch into making her nursery just perfect. All my family and friends surprised me and each person got to decorate a wooden block for Baby Bailey that I placed directly onto her shelf so she can play with when she grows up.
“I love you to the Moon and Back” – One of my favorite quotes. When I got this book at my baby shower, I knew I wanted to incorporate it in her nursery. So I placed it in her bookcase along with cute polar bears that she can play with later on that also goes with the story.
