Valentine’s Day PB & J Smoothie Recipe

If you’re planning on a decadent dinner with your loved one and plenty of sweets at the office this Valentine’s Day, it’s probably best to start your day off on a healthier foot (so you don’t crash at 3pm!). Weeknight Bite‘s Lindsay Surowitz previously shared with us a re-set meal plan (that will definitely come in handy on the 15th!) and is now sharing a delicious PB & J smoothie recipe that’s holiday ready. This smoothie is perfect for Valentine’s Day, not just because it’s pink, but also because it will help you love yourself & your body, which is important to remember to do this V-day! Plus, we promise that despite it’s health benefits, it tastes ultra indulgent! Enjoy!

Lindsey says, Valentine’s Day tends to revolve around chocolate, sweets, and decadent dinners. While it’s definitely a delicious day, the resulting sugar hangover doesn’t exactly make your body feel super loved. So why not kick off your Valentine’s Day with a breakfast that’s full of protein, healthy fat, and tons of fiber, keeping you full and satisfied all morning and giving your body all the love and nourishment it deserves. Doesn’t get much more delicious than this PB & J Smoothie!

Ingredients:

1-2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp peanut butter
1/3 cup frozen strawberries
1 serving vanilla protein powder (my favorite)

Directions: Combine and blend!

Doesn’t it look delicious?! P.S. If you’re cooking a romantic dinner this Valentine’s Day, make one of these exciting healthy recipes!
