How to Set the Perfect Holiday Table

It’s already high season for entertaining, and with the holidays right around the corner there isn’t a better time to gather the recipes, games, and decor you will need. We like to dream up our Thanksgiving and Christmas tablescapes ahead of time and consider new ways to dress them up. So, we’re always looking for pieces that will make them unique and memorable. This year, we partnered with Napkin Knots to make a statement at every place setting – and it turned out so cute! We chose and personalized different knots depending for each holiday as well as the adult table & the kids table. Here’s how we used them to set the perfect holiday table…

Thanksgiving

Because we are using cloth napkins for Thanksgiving, we chose a banquet sized Napkin Knot. The ‘Thankful, grateful, blessed’ knot couldn’t be more fitting. We not only love the saying but also the simple and beautiful design and the colors that keep a Thanksgiving scheme. They immediately brightened up the place setting when paired with our linen napkins and tablecloth. Plus, the colors went perfectly with copper flatware (pretty, huh?!).

Although we simply slipped the knot over the napkin to create a loose fold for on top of the plate, you can fold the napkin however you like, with our without the silverware inside and slide the knot on as you see fit.

For the kids table, we went with a cute, traditional turkey design that is fun and colorful. This time, we chose the smaller standard Napkin Knot size to pair with the paper napkins. We also love how the cute turkey Napkin Knot matched the rustic theme and colorful dessert napkins. These are sure to be a hit with the little ones! Tip: If you’re looking for a fun activity, place a paper tablecloth and crayons on the kids table and let them color their own turkey after dinner!

Christmas

For the Christmas table, we decided to create a more classic design. This time choosing sleek dark brown plates, gold rimmed goblets, and cloth napkins with a bit of sparkle to them. To tie it all together, we used the banquet sized Custom Chalkboard Napkin Knots, that read “The Lewis Family Christmas.” This is a really great way to personalize your family Christmas table with an extra special touch. For a less formal dinner or fun gathering with friends, we also love the gingerbread house design. Whether you are hosting a cookie decorating, ugly sweater party, or gift exchange there are plenty of fun options to choose from!

We continued with a more cutesy theme for the kids table with a good ole’ “Ho Ho Ho” Napkin Knot. What kid wouldn’t want to sit at this table?
