This fun stationery workshop with LoweCo and Nib & Pixel was just that – FUN! With a title like ‘Pimp my mail’ it was sure to be an afternoon of inspiring crafting and enjoyable mingling. Dionne and Catherine Lowe, the designers behind Nib & Pixel and Loweco respectively, came together for the creative affair.
Dionne shares, We wanted to create a modern, fun, chic event where women would learn how to design lovely envelopes that would pair with the cards in Catherine’s collection. The workshop was called “pimp my mail”, and was a lot of fun. Since the LoweCo cards are clean and white blind embossed, when styling the workshop we went with clear acrylic and lots of color to compliment the cards.
Post studio projects is a laser-cutting studio in Houston with the perfect space for this workshop, with white walls and concrete floors, it was the perfect canvas. We brought in gorgeous acrylic ghost chairs from Glo events & decor, which echoed the look of the acrylic clipboards for the class kits. In their kits, students received LoweCo cards, envelopes, pens, a ruler, and on top of that Nib and Pixel designed personalized custom glasses and acrylic envelope drink stirrers that were etched and cut by Post Studio.
The pops of color were brought in with stunning floral arrangements by Mibellarosa designs and Buttercup Houston created a bright and colorful flower-inspired cake. The final pop of color were fun colored marbled balloons tied to each guests’ chair. and to top it all off, the photography wizard, Dana Fernandez captured it all beautifully.
