I’ve been obsessed with woven pendants for awhile now (I wrote a post about them here), so when I saw this basket at Target the wheels started turning. I decided to turn the basket into a pendant of my own–and it was one of the easiest DIY projects I’ve ever done!
Supplies:
Basket
Scissors
Ligh
Step 1:
Cut the handles off your basket
Step 2:
Cut a hole in the bottom big enough to fit the cord through
Step 3:
Slip the cord kit through the hole, then rewire the light (make sure the power is off first).

Love it! Pendant lights are becoming so easy to make thanks to all the DIY tutorials out there like these… I may make one for my bedroom!
That’s so beautifully rustic and just makes everything around it look even more pretty! Do you think I could spray paint it prior to doing the actual DIY?? Like a bright magenta or turquoise maybe?
We think that would be awesome! Maybe only spray the outside just for safety reasons with the heat of the bulb and the paint 😉 We think a dip-painted basket could look great too!
