Inspired by this Southern Plantation Wedding

Heather and Addison said “I do” at the Tuckahoe colonial plantation, which actually belongs to the groom’s family! The outdoor ceremony was so stunning with huge trees shielding guests from the hot sun and pretty pink roses lining the altar–Heather’s father was the officiant!  The couple took amazing pictures on a secluded dirt path road and love their photos with a cute pair of big, brown horses!

From the event designers at Amber Karson Events:

When we first visited the Tuckahoe Plantation, we were inspired by the gorgeous shades of blue throughout the house (e.g., the underside of the porch ceilings, wall paint and the blue toile bed canopy in one of the bedrooms). When coming up with a color palette of soft neutrals, blue was a natural accent choice. The blue toile pattern reappears in the table runners, envelope liners, and also in the tin-can garland we crafted for the getaway Mustang!”

Personalized name cards were pinned to a wooden panel with different herbs and stemmed flowers, which added to the beautiful decor! The reception had a country-chic feel to it with creamy white peonies, baby pink roses, bronze table number holders and cute blue and white country toile runners! The menu included Texas beef brought from Heather’s hometown and chickens that were raised right on the Tuckahoe farm… their mothers even made special pecan pies and carrot cake cupcakes! These two definitely kept things within the family and we love it.

After dancing the night away with their guests on the massive dance floor, Heather and Addison slipped away in their 1966 turquoise Mustang getaway car…  seriously, too cool!

Special thanks to Katie Stoops for the gorgeous pics!
