This vibrant, beautiful photoshoot will not only inspire any of you brides to-be to go bold with your color palette, but will also put a smile on your face. Ashley says, In the heart of Chicago, there are many industrial loft venues, but none with a better view of the city or as epic of ceilings and natural light as City View Lofts & Kitchen Chicago. These intimate venues provided the “Classic Chicago” feel we were going for during our styled inspiration shoot for The Bloom Workshop. While neutral colors will always have our heart and continue to be a beautiful backdrop in so many weddings, we kicked it up a notch with a bold pink palette that turned out to be quite the show stopper. With hot pink and magenta at centerstage, we accented those hues with blush, and an ivory velvet linen to let the color shine, along with natural greens and a touch of gold for that glam element.
We challenged ourselves by working indoors to bring this inspiration shoot to life. It turned out to be a dream because of the gorgeous natural light pouring in through those cathedral ceilings. The light was diffused perfectly at the tablescape to create the airy feeling we love so much. Our saturated colors in the centerpiece, created so artfully by Fleur Chicago, popped off the textured velvet linen and were accentuated even further by sweet pink coupes and goblets. Our pink palette was carried through in every element of the shoot, including the glamorous invitation suite by Molly Jacques, and the stunning cake wrapped in sugar flowers, designed by Root Cakes. Even the round velvet Amonie ring boxes echoed our sorbet-themed color palette so nicely!
Our bride and groom looked as classic as they come with a white tux jacket and stunning lace gown. The simple lines, coupled with intricate lace details made her look so effortless and glam. Every wedding or inspiration shoot should bring forth a personal touch or unique idea, so for this classic Chicago glam inspiration, we brought some fun to the table with a local Chicago popsicle company called Yumm Pops. These frozen treats sat out at the dessert bar in a blush goblet, ready to be made even sweeter with a pour of champagne! And that brings us full circle, as these popsicles were actually the starting point of inspiration in designing our sorbet-inspired photo shoot. Hopefully these vibrant colors, monochromatic color palette, and unique ideas will inspire brides to have some fun with their big day!
