How to Beat the Heat at a Summer Wedding

It’s no secret, summer weddings can be scorchers! But being the most popular season to tie the knot, brides & grooms (or their wedding planners) have figured out a few ways to beat the heat at a summer wedding. Here are a few no-fail ways to make sure your guests aren’t sweating it while you’re saying your vows.

Fans

Fans are easy (and inexpensive!) to place on each chair before guests arrive to the wedding. You can even tie or print your wedding program on the fans themselves! Your guests will appreciate both the gesture and the extra stylistic element they add!

Iced Beverages

This may be a given, but it’s SO necessary. Plus, there are numerous ways to to make pre-ceremony and cocktail beverages cute and personal. We love the idea of drink stations that offer a variety of pitcher drinks and tray passed specialty cocktails. You can even go with a favorite bottle cooler like coke or IZZE.

Parasols

Depending on the theme of your wedding, parasols may be a great fit! Offer guests some shade in a dainty way. They can carry the tiny umbrellas with them from ceremony to reception and stay cool all the while.

Tents

If the sun will be at it’s peak during your ceremony or reception, it could be a good idea to invest in a larger shade covering. Think big umbrellas & event tents. They will offer the most sun protection and least hassle for all of your guests.
