Their sunset rose garden ceremony was followed by an outdoor reception on a renaissance themed courtyard. Their wedding day was full of natural and organic details. From the grapes in the centerpieces to the lavender and deep green color palette.

I was practically raised outside in the garden – long walks and picnics at various botanical gardens were a favorite activity in my youth. So when it came time to select the wedding venue of my dreams, the Norfolk Botanical Gardens was the only option that gave me goosebumps! The romance of the rose garden and the formality of the Renaissance Court inspired the woodland fairytale theme. Additionally, William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” helped to define the manner in which the wedding and reception florals and decor would come together. Ferns, mosses, succulents, cabbage roses, lilies, wood planks with mushrooms, white hydrangeas and fairy lights completed the vision.
