Romantic Ranch Wedding in British Columbia

This romantic ranch wedding will make you wish you grew up where the west was wild – or Pemberton, British Colombia. The groom’s expansive family ranch served him and his bride well for their homestyle nuptials. And the incredible views were made even better by the bright sunny day! The entire affair, for that matter, is bright and beautiful. From the unique wedding party wear to the charming rustic decor, we know you will love every last detail.

The coordinators at Smitten Events share, When Kim & Stu pictured their dream wedding there was no question where it would take place. Stuart’s family cottage, a recreational property in Pemberton, BC lovingly known as ‘The Franch’, is a special place for them both and was the perfect location for their wedding celebration. With a backdrop of open pastures, wild gardens, dramatic mountain views and their beloved horses, the farm provided everything they wanted for their rustic, bohemian, backyard wedding wedding.

Kim wore her hair loose and walked barefoot to marry her love in a Grace Loves Lace gown. The bridesmaids paired romantic, blush pink Partyskirts with tops of their choice. Meanwhile, the groom and groomsmen looked like modern cowboys in dark Levis paired with vests, boots and leather bowties. Even Kim and Stuart’s horses donned wedding finery with braids and flowers in their manes!

Beware: this wedding party is about to blow you away!

The stunning duo’s style is just right!

This wedding was all about relaxed family and fun. Handmade details and decor elements were either sourced from or inspired by the farm. This included lounge furniture made from hay bales, stumps used as centerpieces, and colorful wildflowers from the gardens. Guests dined family style before partying the night away on a dance floor set in the fields under a canopy of globe lights.

Finally, nothing beats this moment!
