After dating for a wonderful 8 months and 2 days Andy proposed to Hannah on April 12, 2014 on the beach in North Myrtle Beach, SC. There was a lot of planning that went into this proposal. Andy was approached by his mother Miriam and Hannah’s mother Erin with the idea of setting up a spot on the beach with candles, a blanket, flowers, romantic music, and other beautiful decorations to propose to Hannah. He had told them he had been planning on proposing to her on the beach while on a family vacation, but did not come up with a plan this special and detailed. As the plans came together Andy planned on proposing on a weekend beach trip with Hannah’s family, while Andy’s parents planned a beach trip that same weekend which Hannah was unaware of. At the last minute Miriam and Erin notified Andy that they had booked Josh Deaton to photograph the engagement which made Andy ecstatic because he had done photo-shoots with Josh before and loved his work. It was his last available day before he was fully booked for the season. Everything had fallen into place perfectly and Andy planned on proposing to Hannah at sunset before an intimate dinner together that Hannah was also unaware of. Finally, the day came and Andy headed down to the beach while Hannah got ready for dinner that she thought would be with the entire family and Andy. While Andy anxiously awaited her arrival to the spot on the beach he felt his heart beating fast. The weather was perfect. Not a cloud in the sky. Finally she arrived and he proposed on one knee by saying “Hey, I gotta ask you a question. Will you marry me?” She said yes! After that they took beautiful pictures with Josh and had a wonderful celebratory dinner.
