Some of our favorite engagement sessions happen in an incredible natural location – i.e. these Redwood Forest engagement pictures. This adorable couple and the gigantic trees behind them are gracing our wedding blog with their loveliness. In casual clothes, Kacie and Dylan walk across fallen trunks, along a rocky riverbed, and in the shade of the tall branches – caught on camera by Dawn Photography.

These two might be the most adventurous couple I know. Any free day they’ve had it’s been hiking up a mountain with their dogs or checking out a waterfall. I am so inspired by how adventurous they are, and how much they love the outdoors. The Pacific Northwest is full of amazing hikes and things to see, so I knew when planning this shoot with Kacie & Dylan, that it would be such a great time! We had no idea where to go for their shoot in the Redwoods, so I did some scouting around before we met up. After I found some random trails, riverside and roads, we decided just to go for it and stick with these spots. Oh boy! This might be one of my favorite shoots. It was so carefree and natural. These two are incredibly goofy, fun and madly in love! I rarely had to ask them to pose, they just naturally fell into each other arms, and it was almost guaranteed they’d bust into laughing. It’s such an amazing thing to find that perfect person for yourself, that puzzle piece that makes everything right.
