Inspired by This Real Wedding-Yellow and Black Modern Elegance in Santa Barbara
4 comments on this

In September one of my friends got married in beautiful Santa Barbara where her and her fiance went to college. Courtney looked absolutely beautiful in her Jenny Lee Couture dress and it was so special to see her and Rob take their vows and become husband and wife. The color palate was modern and fun while still very elegant. Courtney’s favorite color is yellow so she was set on incorporating it into the wedding, which she did in the gorgeous flowers designed by Lisa Cardella of Ixora Florist Studio. Since Courtney and Rob do a lot of traveling they came up with the idea to have a passport for each guest as an escort card which placed them at different locations they have traveled together. Kari Kholer was responsible for all of the great wedding stationery.  The photographs can be attributed to two very talented photographers: Courtney Wilson Photography and Melissa Brandman Photography

For those of you who may not know, Elizabeth Messina is officially one of my heroes. I love the pictures she takes, I love her blog, I love her writing and I love how genuinely wonderful she is. It is no surprise that I stumbled across the below wedding and fell in love with it, as it is another gem she captured with her camera lens. The setting for the beautiful wedding was the  San Ysidro Ranch and the fab planner was Imagine who along with the florals by Tricia Fountaine crafted everything. I love the lavender and the urns with the succulents sprouting out. The cake base is also super cute- I have a thing for great cake bases and this one makes my list. Who doesn’t love the color palate.. it’s so romantic! Thanks so much Elizabeth for sending the gorgeous details you captured from this wedding, they are perfection to the max!!
