Pumpkin Spice Smoothie Recipe

The Fall season is in full swing, so now is your chance to make this Pumpkin Spice smoothie on our lifestyle blog today! This fall smoothie smells and tastes like pumpkin pie but it’s so much healthier! It’s vegan, dairy-free, and refined sugar free.  It’s light on the waistline and delicious.  Pumpkin is a staple must-have fall flavor, and what makes it even better is the nutritional benefits this fruit provides. (Yes, it’s a fruit!)  Pumpkin is a great source of antioxidants, vitamin C, beta-carotene, fiber, and potassium. Plus, the added chia seeds provide omega 3s and protein and even more fiber and antioxidants.  So, no need to feel guilty drinking this dessert for your breakfast! Plus, it’s as easy as pie 🙂 – just blend all the ingredients together! Cheers!

Ingredients (Makes 1 serving): 

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup canned pumpkin {choose organic & BPA free}

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp chia seed

½ – 1 tsp 100% pure grade B maple syrup

Note: If you’d like it a little colder, just put in the fridge or freezer for about 5-10 minutes.  I wouldn’t recommend adding ice as it will change the flavor.
