I love outdoor weddings, and this one sent to us by Beautiful Day Photography is simply gorgeous. The bride’s one shouldered Monique Lhuillier is stunning! I also love that they used strawberry shortcake as a wedding cake alternative! How very Southern : ) Here’s what the bride had to say about her big day:

We wanted a rustic theme that still felt sophisticated.  We really wanted our wedding to feel intimate, which we accomplished by curving the ceremony seating slightly and creating one long head table for everyone to sit at (which was like 100 ft long!).  The intimate seating was contrasted by the big openness of the venue.  For our backdrop he had the gorgeous hills and the farmhouse, which is an actual West Virginian farmhouse that was deconstructed and rebuilt in California wine country.  Most of the decor and little touches were made by me or Etsy vendors, aside from the pieces we used from our parents’ homes and weddings.  Everything about our wedding was very much “us,” down to my engagement ring which Mike actually designed himself because he couldn’t find anything perfect for me.
