Rooted in a shared love of the film industry, Erin and Vincent’s fashion-forward wedding was planned through a filmmaker’s eye. Planned and designed by Mêlanie Aubin of Foundamour and captured by photographer Raphaëlle Granger, the day unfolded seamlessly, with the couple’s creative background and vision setting a cinematic scene.

The Bride
When it came to Erin and her fashion details, the details speak for themselves. Her look felt both stylish and regal, subtly nodding to her profession as an actress and love for the film industry. A simple yet elegant gown designed by Former Girlfriend was paired with bold red heels, creating a striking statement.

The Couple & Their Inspiration
Working in the film industry – Vincent as a director and cinematographer, and Erin as an actress, writer, director, and producer – the couple envisioned a wedding rooted in creativity and storytelling. Planned in just three months, the celebration was designed to reflect the energy of their relationship in a way that felt expressive, personal, and true to them. Their vision was heavily inspired by British documentary photographer Martin Parr, whose vibrant, candid, and slightly chaotic style influenced both the wedding décor and the imagery throughout the day.

The Ceremony
Set against rolling hills beyond Le Peaches & Cream, their outdoor ceremony balanced intimacy with creative taste. Benched seating draped in layered white linens created a regal atmosphere, while lush red peonies and rich greenery framed the altar as the couple said, “I do”. Adding to the energy of the day was a stylish guest list, with many traveling from Western Canada and across the U.S., including creatives connected to the film and music industries in places like Nashville and Cannes. To further embrace the couple’s cinematic vision, friends with a shared love for Super 8 cameras were encouraged to capture moments on film throughout the celebration.

The Reception
Following the ceremony, the reception carried forward Erin and Vincent’s focus on storytelling, with every detail contributing to a cohesive experience. From the beginning, they embraced a vision that felt immersive and expressive. Mismatched vintage china and nostalgic design details brought a lived-in warmth to the tables, creating a sense of togetherness throughout the space. Guided by their shared motto to “embrace the chaos”, the reception blended cinematic styling with a relaxed, personal energy that reflected them not only as artists, but as a couple.

The Twin Peaks Celebration
Continuing the vibrant, slightly chaotic energy that defined the day, the couple drew inspiration from Twin Peaks, an American surrealist mystery horror drama television series, for their after-party. Using the show’s surreal and cinematic atmosphere to subtly shape the tone of the evening, Erin and Vincent added an unexpected edge to their fashion-forward wedding. Erin paired her gown with an ivory fur coat and later changed into a Prea James party dress to dance the night away.

Erin and Vincent’s wedding was shaped by a clear creative vision, moving through the day with a steady focus on storytelling, fashion, and design. The result was a celebration that felt cohesive of how they work and live creatively. For more inspiration, read A Fashion-Forward Miami Wedding at The Bath Club!
