For all the newly engaged (or soon-to-be) a Valentine’s Day engagement photo shoot is quite possibly the cutest idea. This couple on our wedding blog had both the holiday, and their upcoming nuptials as great excuses to be all lovey-dovey around London. Yes, that does make this shoot even more romantic! Amy Fanton followed them around with her camera, tossing them heart shaped props and documenting their love all day long:
With Valentines Day around the corner, we decided to give this couple’s shoot a quirky V-day themed twist. Although the bride is from the US, London holds a special place in the hearts of these two as it’s the city where they met, where their relationship blossomed, and where they will be spending Valentines Day this year. Rather than choosing the more iconic London landmark scenery as a backdrop, they opted for a more quirky neighborhood in Kensington filled with cobble stone streets, Mews houses and brightly colored carriage doors.
To go along with the Valentines theme, the bride baked heart shaped chocolate chip cookies for an adorable milk and cookies snack break during the shoot. “He’s Mine”, “She’s Mine” signs and a sparkly red heart garland were also super cute and are reminiscent of the handmade Valentines Day crafts done by children at school.
After a brief walk in the park where they spent many days early on in their courtship where we got some gorgeous shots of the two wrapped up in a cozy blanket and on the ground with some heart confetti, we stopped again for snacks at one of their favorite cafe where, appropriately, the couple had some hot chocolate and “lovewiches” (jam sandwiches with a heart cut out–so cute!).
