This wedding is the definition of rustic and romantic. Set on the shores of Lake Almanor at a family home, we can’t decide whether the woods or the water is prettier! The bride stunned an all lace Jim Hjelm gown, lace trimmed veil, and family heirloom jewels (sigh!) while her groom looked dapper in gray. And the bridal party in neutrals and navy added the nautical touch – complete with a boat bar of course. With market lights strung from the trees and rain pouring down on the party we can only imagine an enchanted evening! Kate Price was lucky enough to capture not only this gorgeous couple, but also their gorgeous day and the evidence is ..ya you guessed it.. gorgeous!
We had an intimate, destination wedding at my grandparents’ lake house in Lake Almanor, California. Even though it was a summery, outdoor, california wedding, we had pouring rain unexpectedly during the reception, which added to the romance, and our guests loved it.
I loved incorporating lots of local, small vendors. Lake Almanor is a remote town near the city of Chester (population 2,144) and the nearest bigger city is Chico, California, an hour and a half away. I hired vendors from both Chester and Chico, and they were all fantastic. I loved our small town, lakeside, rustic and rainy wedding.
