Your Four Seasons Resort Lanai Honeymoon Travel Guide

If you’re in the process of narrowing down locations for a potential honeymoon that is equal parts relaxing and adventurous, then boy do we have a spot in mind for you! When it comes to finding the most ideal tropical honeymoon destination, newlyweds often dream of a place that has secluded and pristine scenery, luxury accommodations and hospitality, and unforgettable experiences. Just a short distance off the coast of the island of Maui or Oahu, Four Seasons Resort Lanai checks all the boxes and more. If you’re in search of a destination that truly feels like you have your own private island, this location is sure to serve as the ultimate honeymoon getaway.

How to Get There

Four Seasons Resort Lanai is easily reachable by a ferry that runs 3 times per day from Maui, or a short chartered flight by Lanai Air directly from Oahu. An added bonus, round-trip luxury flights connecting Honolulu to Lanai are included in all bookings through Four Seasons Resort Lanai. We had a seamless transfer and were greeted by ground services waiting for us at baggage claim where they will then escort you to your private lounge in their private terminal, serving as an unbelievably convenient way to begin our island honeymoon. Not to mention, a perfect way to get a view of the vibrant island landscapes from the air!

Accommodations

At the Four Seasons Resort Lanai, luxury is truly taken to another level and at the forefront of everything they do. From the moment you step foot in the hotel lobby, you are greeted with bright blue panoramic views of the ocean and a quiet and peaceful environment.

The resort offers extra spacious rooms and suites with modern amenities and Hawaiian-inspired decor. Every little detail was well thought out, including nespresso coffee, twice daily housekeeping services, an in-room ipad to order anything you’d like, and automatic blinds that reveal the view of the Lanai coastline. The attentive staff ensures that every moment of your trip is taken care of from the moment you arrive, allowing newlyweds the chance to only focus on each other and create memories that will last a lifetime!

Dining & Where to Eat

We wasted no time after checking in and headed straight to check out the first of their on-property restaurants, Malibu Farm, for lunch and refreshments. This is located poolside with a view of Hulopoe Bay, providing the freshest local and organic ingredients. You can’t go wrong with anything they offer on their menu, but our favorites were the crab cakes, pokeviche, and fish tacos.

For a dinner option, there is a Nobu on property at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai offering their signature and innovative dishes like the miso cod, yellowtail sashimi, and crispy rice with spicy tuna, which are known around the world.

Experiences & What to Do

For couples looking to add a dash of adventure to their romantic retreat, Lanai offers a wealth of activities. Whether you want to explore the rugged landscapes of the island, go snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, or hike to breathtaking view points, there’s no shortage of exploration to be had. The resort’s concierge can help you plan unforgettable excursions, from horseback riding through the forest to thrilling ATV rides along the coastline. Here are some of our favorite activities we took part in:

Lagoon style pools

Spending the days lounging by the pools was one of our favorite experiences here. No “lounge chair saving games” are happening at this resort, and the on-site pool concierge makes grabbing your chair by the pool for the day an easy experience. With a separate adults-only pool with a waterfall, there’s no need to worry about finding a quiet and relaxing spot.

Fitness room

The views from this fitness room were some of the best we’ve ever seen. Available for use 24-hours and outfitted with the latest state-of-the-art equipment, if you are someone who enjoys staying active and working out while on vacation, there is no better place to do it. There are also activities and classes offered almost hourly.

Spa

For those that are really hoping to dive into relaxation, the spa at Four Seasons Resort Lanai offers all sorts of therapies and treatments inspired by Lanai’s pristine natural landscape. We opted for a couple’s massage and left feeling completely rejuvenated with a renewed sense of tranquility.

Golf

One of the activities we were looking forward to most was the Jack Nicklaus signature Manele Golf Course, Lanai’s premier 18-hole layout, with a reputation for excellence in design and playability, only allowing course access for those staying at Four Seasons Resort Lanai.

Once again, the attentive staff thought of every detail to make your round of golf as enjoyable as possible. From getting your cart all set up for you to offering a fresh juice at the turn, and an iced cold fresh fruit popsicle when you are all finished. They also have a custom Lanai Golf bag tag engraved with your name waiting for you as a gift, which is such a thoughtful detail!

For some post-golf eats, we were able to enjoy Views, their restaurant just off the 18th hole that offers 180-degree ocean views (no pun intended) and is also known for its mouth-watering ice cream sandwiches.

Sunset sail

Another perfect honeymoon activity, you can set sail on your very own private catamaran charter as your captain helps you tailor your personal Pacific Ocean adventure in the pristine seas of Hawaii. Depending on the time of year, this is also a sure way to potentially spot whales or dolphins cruising up and down the coastline.

Beach club snorkeling rentals

Four Seasons Resort Lanai sits on its very own calm and gentle bay with a stunning stretch of beach. The beach concierge will assist in getting your own lounge chairs and umbrella set up on the beach for the day, and it often feels like you have the whole place to yourself. You can also grab your complimentary snorkel gear and head out to explore the vibrant underwater wonders off Hulopoe Beach.

Whether you’re lounging on the beach, indulging in spa treatments, or enjoying intimate dinners under the stars, every moment spent at this resort is designed to be cherished. Unlike some of the more crowded Hawaiian islands, Lanai offers a serene and intimate atmosphere, making it perfect for honeymooners seeking privacy. The Four Seasons Resort Lanai is known for its exclusive feel, with spacious grounds and fewer guests than other resorts. This intimate setting really allows couples to truly connect and enjoy each other’s company without the distraction of larger crowds! This place truly stands out as a dream honeymoon destination, combining luxury, adventure, and natural beauty that few places can, undoubtedly the perfect place to create lasting memories.
