Wed, Dwell, Grow Fashion: Life With Lipstick On

Today is the official start of our brand new Wed, Dwell, Grow Fashion series!  We’ve asked some blogger friends with great style to give us some insight on the kinds of outfits they would wear for three different aspects of their lives: a wedding guest, a date night with the hubby, and finally, as a stylish mommy.

We’re starting the series off with none other than Kacee Geoffroy from Life With Lipstick On!  You might recognize Kacee as a talented So Cal hair and makeup artist but now she’s started this awesome blog too!  We always love seeing her cute outfits and were excited to see what she came up with.

Be Prepared to Be Inspired…

wedI love this maxi for a summer wedding because it’s simple with a little edge.  I know the rule has always been “no black at a wedding” but this option takes the Little Black Dress to it’s chicest level!  You even get a little sexy in there with the peek a boo cut outs on the side and criss cross back.  The top is sheer which adds a little interest also without being to revealing.  Paired with simple drop earrings, clean clutch and a couple bold bangles you make a statement without taking away from the bride. You even could layer a great blazer over for a winter wedding or if there is a chill in the air.

Summer wedding

dwellDate nights are a great time to sass up your normal everyday wardrobe and get a little sexy for the night out.  Whether this is a night with your hunny or drinks with the girls, this polka dot shift dress is an adorable, chic choice!  Paired with great strappy sandals and an unexpected leopard cuff you are ready to hit the town.

growI am always running around with the kids and need a versatile yet cute outfit to tackle the day.  This lace top is a great, light weight option and paired with cotton seersucker shorts and topped with a chunky necklace and simple sandals you are ready for anything.
