The grand opening of The Colony House
is giving us a lot of great party ideas on our lifestyle blog today! This hip, contemporary, and industrial inspired event venue has awesome craftsman style architectural influences that complement the neighboring Colony District in Anaheim, CA. This gigantic venue can accommodate up to 750 people with it’s variety of indoor and outdoor spaces that can be intermixed to bring any vision to life. Yes, we’re talking to you wedding venue seekers out there! Better still 24 carrots owns and operates the amazing space so great food is a given! Just take a peak at the apps and cheese & bread spread they set up for this soiree and let your mouths water! The opening event looks like quite the fun and classy affair ( hello chaise lounges and terrariums!) – here’s what our friends at 24 carrots had to say about it!
For the party, we drew inspiration from the history of the area. We wanted to soften up the Colonial and industrial style of The Colony House by bringing in elements from a botanical garden, with touches of scientific jars and prints. While the Great Room was filled with an abundance of greens against the wood and brick, we kept the upstairs very masculine, and transformed it into a whiskey bar, with leather seating, and a live jazz band.
