San Diego Beach Wedding

It’s a blush beauty. Today’s beach wedding on our wedding blog is set in the beautiful San Diego. The beachfront ceremony not only has a sandy view, but took place on a perfect blue-sky day with palm trees and market lighting overhead. Throw in the overwhelming (but amazing) amount of flowers and it’s a dream come true. The bride and groom sure think so too. Rachel Finn from I Do Weddings and Events helped make it all happen and is giving us ALL the details:

Adrienne had a beautiful vision of what she wanted her wedding to be. It was a mix of extravagance, vintage style yet being understated. I showed her photos from my own wedding at our first meeting and she loved it. This is how I knew we would get along quite well throughout the planning process.

As we began the planning process there were 3 big areas that Adrienne and I focused on. #1 food, #2 rentals, #3 Flowers. Giuseppe’s was no let down for Adrienne and Noah. They were able to cater to every want and need for their 200-person guest count. The décor/visual aspect of the wedding was so important to Adrienne. Her Pinterest board was more detailed than any other bride I have worked with. Archive Rentals was a huge part of our planning process. To achieve the vintage eclectic look Adrienne was going for we used over 500 pieces from Archive. The list went from wooden crates, to vintage table settings, to full seating areas. There was no expense spared to make this vision become a reality.

Throughout the planning process her vision adjusted, but never very far off her original track. As the color scheme developed, we met with Jennifer Cole. She is an amazing florist who was able to bring Adrienne’s vision to life. Elaborate touches like driftwood chandeliers were added to the vision as the process continued. At the mock up Adrienne, Noah and their families were so happy with the final results before the wedding. Some of my favorite touches on the floral side were the eclectic books, and knick-knack’s on each table. Every table had a different yet similar feel to it. It all fit together perfectly, and it made for an immaculate reception.

The ceremony could not have been more beautiful. Guests enjoyed live music before the ceremony and there was not a dry eye in the crowd when Adrienne walked down the aisle with her parents towards the immense canopy provided by Jennifer Cole. Not one detail was missing from this wedding. One of my favorite aspects of the wedding was their sign in table with vintage trinkets, and family photos. This gave a very personal feeling to the wedding.

As the wedding day continued guests were greeted with fantastic drinks, and food. This was a foodie wedding if I had ever seen one. As the guests were invited into the reception the looks on their faces was priceless. There were so many details that people were walking around the room just to see everything. Their dessert table was so elaborate that we had to have two full 8-foot tables to hold all of the fun details. My favorite detail from this table was the use of Adrienne’s mothers old mixing bowl full of beautiful florals. This was a dessert table if I had ever seen one.

They had a live band as well as a DJ for the night. Guests danced the night away while enjoying the vintage seating out on the lawn. There were so many amazing details that you had to be there to really appreciate them all. The Bar even had all the eclectic touches of a vintage home. This was a favorite wedding of mine, because I got to be involved in every decision and detail of the day. Thank you to Adrienne and Noah for allowing me to be part of their beautiful wedding day!
