I am very excited about the Los Olivos wine country wedding we are sharing today! The fabulous Laura Grier of Beautiful Day Photography captured some really stunning pictures of a fabulous couple and location. Sounds like a recipe for perfection right? The bride opted for some color on or rather under her gown-a vibrant pink to be precise. Alissa and Rich were married in beautiful Los Olivos- wine country just north of Los Angeles, CA. Alissa’s beautiful dress was crafted by two of her friends and the layers of the petticoat matched each of her bridesmaids’ dresses. Since the bride and groom are of differing religions, she is Jewish and he Christian, they decided to incorporate bits of both into their ceremony. The beautiful Ketubah was designed and created by the bride’s sister. One of the same friends (Susan Joy Brownstein) who helped with the dress also made all of the awesome signage include the custom cd covers that were use to hold the cds the couple made for favors. The bride’s immediate family walked her down the aisle to her waiting groom-I love that! I love that so many of the details in Rich and Alissa’s wedding seem personal to them and a reflection of their personalities and relationship.
Hello, I love that petticoat! And is the groom breakdancing at his own wedding. Yes, please!
LOVE the bride’s dress! What a wonderful wedding!

there are too many things I love about this wedding I can’t fit them all into one comment!!!
Beautiful! I LOVE the splash of color under her dress! what a fun way to spice things up! You could even wait to show it off until after the ceremony when you bustle the dress, and BAM! Color baby!
I’d like a carefree outdoors wedding just like this, with dancing under the stars. These pictures are very beautiful and very inspiring.

Hi there! I am the mother of the bride and am so excited to see my family wedding on this site! I hope you don’t mind that I put the links that designed Alissa’s dress details: http://www.modernnostalgiala.com, the company that takes simple dresses and adds awesome affordable details to bridal and formal attire (bustles, petticoats, brooches, shrugs, birdcage veils, etc.) and my younger daughter’s art website (she made the ketubah) http://www.racheldeanart.com
This wedding was definitely an atypical wedding. We did the things that felt right to us, and it all came together. Thank you for detailing our wedding, and putting so many photos in your article. You made by day!
Sincerely, Daveen Dean
I loved the whole thing. every detail was thought out and beautifully rendered. It is a work of art from start to finish. It is one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen and it fits the beauty and creative talent of the couple, who are fabulous!
