Pastel Alice in Wonderland Inspired Bridal Shower

If you’re a feminine, whimsical, pastel-loving bride, or just looking for a fun shower theme, this Alice in Wonderland inspired bridal shower delivers! Between the ‘Welcome to Wonderland’ menus to the teacups filled with ‘eat me’ macarons, this team took the theme and ran with it. Add in a row of tulips as the centerpiece and personal sized cakes at each setting, and it leaves little to be desired! Below, A Perfect Event give their best suggestions for executing a theme as fun as this one yourselves.

1. Choose a fun theme. The Alice theme helped us have direction for table decor and details, and creates a beautiful buzz as guests arrive.

2. Simple florals are stunning.
Mix 2 types of blooms per vase for a modern combination of spring tulips and dianthus, keeping the variety and design sleek and minimal.

3. Menu cards set the tone. Scroll menus are now trending for spring. To create a scroll menu, hand-letter or type your menu onto text weight paper. Cut to size. Wrap the top of your menu, facing up, around a pencil, to create a rounded scroll end. Wrap the bottom of your menu, facing down, the other direction on the pencil, to finish the scroll.

4. Personalize the details. Write guest names (or character names if bringing a book or movie to life) onto a place card, then tie to glasses or teacups. Even better – fill teacups with a sweet treat or bite for guests to enjoy at the table.

5. To die for details.
Table and party decor is much more than just florals. Bring your celebration theme to life by layering in favorite elements of your home down the table, bar, or buffet. Stacked books tied with ribbon, accents of teacups, and themed sweets (like rabbit cookies), double up your decor and bites for the party into one.

Photographer Nicole Jansma says, The team at A Perfect Event selected Alice in Wonderland as their theme and embraced a spring color palette in their design, using beautiful soft pastels and fresh spring tulips throughout the display. The individual cakes made by Toni patisserie each showcased the Alice in Wonderland theme in a unique way, with beautiful intricate detailing. And the clock cookies and ‘eat me’ macarons were the perfect whimsical addition to the sweets array. The mismatched colorful plates and cups from The Festive Frog provided subtle pops of bold color to the pastel mix and added a bit of playfulness to the tablescape. Finally, the menus were the perfect blend of sophistication and whimsy, perfect for parties of all ages! Everything came together so beautifully in this display, putting a beautiful spring spin on a classic story.
