Inspired by This Cream, Plaid, and Romantic Engagement

Today’s engagement session is a gorgeous mix of formal and casual sent over to us by Mariel Hannah Photography!  The couple, Ivan and Vina, chose to head up to Tejon Ranch where they could have nothing but gorgeous trees and rolling hills as the backdrop for their engagement photos.  Both Ivan and Vina are so stylish with her cream dress and plaid shirt and his sleek grey suit and trendy oxblood sweater…we’re having trouble deciding which we like better!  Either way we’re loving how the couple chose to incorporate both formal and casual looks, they look amazing.  The simplicity and natural coloring of the location totally makes their outfits and beauty pop through the photos.

Thanks again to Mariel Hannah for sending this gorgeous couple our way!

  1. Tejon Ranch is a totally special place from my growing up! Driving back and forth between Sacramento and Southern California, when we’d drive through the mountains on the way back home from visiting grandparents and extended family, my dad would always called out, “Fort Tejon!” and I’d know we were almost home and I’d finally relax into this deep sleep and wake as we pulled into the driveway in Orange County. The funny thing is, I ALWAYS thought he was saying, “Fort-to-Home!” like, “We’re almost home!” For years. As a little girl, all through high school, we’d drive through the mountains and I’d hear him say, “Fort-to-Home!” and I’d relax after hours of driving and fall asleep. When really, it wasn’t until I moved to Northern California and went to college and started making that drive back and forth myself that I stared in puzzlement at that sign along I-5 and sounded out “Fort Te-John? What’s Fort Te-John? Te-Hooonee? Ta-Hon? TE-JON? ARE YOU FOR REAL? IT’S FORT TE-JON?!” I died. It took me 20 years to catch that one.

LOL I’d love to do a shoot there. LOL
