Inspired by Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s Bouquet of Roses painting, the overall design was romantic, elegant, and sophisticated with a feeling of taking place in the French wine country. With destination weddings becoming more popular, we wanted to create something that showed couples that the same style can be created without having to travel too far from home. This shoot was full of timeless elegance, warmth, and intimacy. Just two days after celebrating their 7th wedding anniversary, Liz and Russ were more than incredible models as the bride and groom, while remembering their wedding day.
When we first saw Folino Estate, there was no doubt that it would be the perfect venue. It is an imposing structure that rises from the horizon as you drive up to the entrance. But upon arriving, there is a warmth and familiarity to it that instantly feels like home. With its gorgeous brick exterior and breathtaking views of the vineyard and rolling hills, Folino Estate is such a wonderful gem that most would be surprised to know it’s located right here in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
The colors and subject of the painting inspired the reception table design. As the flowers are the focus of the painting, the flowers took center stage on the table. Allium Floral Design created an incredible statement-making, cascading arrangement of roses and dahlias in warm yellows, energetic oranges, feminine pinks and touches of burgundy. The luxurious combination of a cream velvet linen and merlot table runner alluded to the wines produced by Folino Estate on-site and instantly elevated the table. Simple yet delicately detailed accent plates and cut-crystal wine glasses from A to Z Party Rentals gave the table a modern, sophisticated feel.
BeautyFX and Gloss Studio created soft, natural looks for the bride and bridesmaid. The bride’s hair was twisted and pulled back with Twigs & Honey hairpins and loose romantic curls. Her bridesmaid’s hair was in a half up-half down twisted ponytail. A pink lip was the perfect complement to the bouquets they carried.
The bride wore a Jenny by Jenny Yoo gown from BHLDN with a corded lace bodice and classic ballgown skirt. A pair of pearl Bella Belle heels and a stunning wedding band set from L Priori Jewelry were the perfect finishing touches. Her bridesmaid wore a merlot dress with layers of ethereal tulle. The groom wore a classic black notch-lapel tuxedo from The Black Tux and his delicate boutonniere added a subtle touch of color to his traditional wedding day look.
The custom calligraphy and invitation suite from Krisanna Elizabeth Co. featured a hand-drawn sketch of Folino Estate and his and hers vow books for their intimate ceremony among the vines. In a nod to the painting, Sugar Realm hand-painted the cake in the impressionist style and finished it with a stunning arrangement of handcrafted sugar flowers.
