Leave it to a pair of photographers to have the most picture-perfect burgundy and navy wedding! Their Kansas City wedding features a beautiful color palette and decor, yes, but what we love about it most are the tender moments Staci Ann Moore Photography captured between the bride and groom and their family too. Their first look may event make you shed a tear!! And if not, you will surely swoon…

Lauren’s impeccable taste for details left us speechless. Lauren and Mac knew the power of all the little things and what a visual difference this made. She wanted a boho style wedding with rich wine, gold and navy colors for their November event. She picked Executive Hills Polo Club because of all of the classic details and white interior.

Lauren and Mac each wrote their own vows and chose to do “private vows” during their first look. Because details were so important, both Lauren and Mac actually hand wrote their vows on beautiful paper. Not only did this help tell a story of their beautiful love for one another, inside and out, but it serves as a keepsake for years to come. This was one of the most beautiful and emotional first looks I’ve ever seen. Lauren and Mac slowed down and really soaked up this time together. They took in their surroundings and very slowly made their vows to one another in front of each other and in front of God. This was my absolute favorite part of the day. It was intimate and private and as you watch the photo story unfold, you can really see their amazing love for each other.

Lauren and Mac met at a church camp outside of Kansas City. For two years, the two were in a long distance relationship. Mac and Lauren are both videographers and photographers. When Mac proposed, he carefully planned a hiking trip to Ha Ha Tonka State Park in southern Missouri, camera equipment in tow, hoping to document the proposal. Since Mac often created videos of their time together, Lauren had no way of knowing that this video would be one that changed their lives forever… He would be asking her to marry him.

Family and faith is incredibly important to both Lauren and Mac. Mac went to school in Arkansas for film, and when Lauren told her dad she wanted to move to Arkansas to be closer to Mac, he was very much against the idea of his daughter moving out of state for a relationship. Her dad said “he wasn’t too sure” about Mac. But when Mac heard how her dad felt about it, he said “No, if you dad doesn’t honor that decision, then we are not going to do that.” And then Mac moved to Kansas City. When Lauren’s dad told about this during his speech at dinner, he said “That’s when I knew Mac was genuine… And I gained a lot of respect for him.” Lauren’s family grew to love this God-honoring man who loved their daughter deeply and they gave their full blessing over their marriage. There were lots of tears and laughter during the day as Lauren’s family was preparing to truly “give away” their daughter.
