For a gal who loves bright colors and boho details, this orange citrus bridal shower is just the thing! This couldn’t be more true of the adorable bride-to-be whose bridesmaids took a few of her favorite things and showered her with the perfect party. They went above and beyond, DIY-ing hanging garlands out of dried citrus, adorning the table with beautiful flowers and fruits, and stocking the bar with rosé and floral punch. Sounds pretty idyllic to us! Read on for the bride’s take on her special day and all the fun details that were a part of it!
For my bridal shower I was really inspired by all things citrus. My engagement photos were taken around orange trees so that is what initially sparked the theme. I love the bright colors that citrus has and how they popped against the green trees and wood textures.
I wanted a shower that gave off a beautiful summer vibe. I knew that I wanted flower arrangements everywhere to dress up the space and bring everything to life. The Foraged Fete did all the flower arrangements and they really brought everything together! They styled the shower from the tables and lounge area and created a custom photo backdrop. We had citrus details everywhere, from the flower arrangements, to the tablescape decor, and even the swing backdrop. What made this bridal shower so special to me was that every detail was hand made by the girls in my bridal party. The florals and styling were by the amazingly talented, The Foraged Fete. All the signage and balloon arches were made by my Maid of Honor, Megan Loya. The girls hand dried and strung every piece of fruit for my backdrop.
There were so many details about the shower that I loved but one of my absolute favorite things was the macrame swing created by Everyday Macrame. The backdrop was completed with the hanging dried fruit and paper lanterns that completed the whole citrus theme. My cousin is a wedding photographer and videographer and she captured the celebration perfectly for me to remember forever!
