Boho Winter Wedding Inspiration in an Igloo

Have you ever dreamed of getting married in an igloo? Wait, wait – hear us out! Trust us, when you see this boho winter wedding inspiration in an igloo (complete with icy blue colors and winter white florals), you’ll start wishing you were in this wintery wonderland too! This inspiration took everything we love about the winter season and brought it to life in what we’re calling an “ice chic” style, with warm accents of golden honey tones and cozy lounge furniture to keep everyone feeling warm and toasty. The weather might be warming up outside, but we’d love to keep things chilly for just a little while longer to be able to see more winter wedding inspiration like this! If modern details, neon signs, hand lettered accents, and chic lounges are all over your wedding Pinterest board, this one is for you!

The photographer shares,

“In the Midwest, it seems as if there’s only one recipe for a winter wedding; rustic. With “igloos” popping up in trendy hot spots and venues all over- we were inspired to take advantage of their clean, geometric backdrop to put a modern spin on the winter wedding. We wanted it to look like ice, but give you all of the warm, toasty, feelings inside. At the Ridge Hotel, overlooking Lake Como, a dusty blue and white palette was warmed up with gold tones and honey accents. Clean lines were the focus, softened by velvet table linens, vintage rugs, hides, & furs. Capiz hurricanes played off the patterns of the igloo frame, and lucite chairs mimicked the transparency of the structures. The cake design was intended to look like shards of ice a la “Frozen.” We decided to forgo a table arrangement as the framework presented a great opportunity for an overhead floral installation. This allowed us to feature a neon sign in the styled lounge, as well! Neat elongated hexagon tiles were hand-lettered for place cards, and we went with a shareable transparent menu for the head table. For our bride and groom, I favored a clean and sophisticated look, with a bit of “edge.” Fittingly, an ice storm rolled in right as we wrapped our shoot for the evening!”
