Blush Burgundy & Copper Wedding on a Rainy Day

It may have been a gloomy Cinco de Mayo, but nothing could rain on this couple’s blush and burgundy wedding day! From the copper script on the invites to the copper piping that served as centerpieces at the reception, it combines classic elegance with modern flair. The couple also included pops of Mexican flair in a nod to the holiday such as a groom’s piñata and sombreros that came out late in the night. But what captured our attention most was the romantic pre-ceremony ceremony where the couple read personal, hand-written vows in front of their family and bridal party on the porch. We could (maybe did) shed a tear!

Photographer, Bekah Kay Creative, shares…

Emily & Chris shared hand-written personal vows on parchment paper that they read just in front of their wedding party and family before heading over to their Catholic church ceremony. Emily surprised Chris with her wedding band that was engraved with her new last name across the band. Elizabeth from East Made Event Co. created a stunning scape inside Howard County Conservancy filled with hanging greenery and Edison lights, lots of stunning florals from Loblolly Farm, and hand-made DIY copper centerpieces from the bride and groom.

At the end of the night, Emily surprised Chris with some fun and festive Cinco De Mayo elements during the party. Including delicious margaritas, a donut bar, a balloon with their wedding hashtag #CardyParty, a fun photo booth and the DJ rocking the dance floor all night. To top it off they brought out a festive Piñata that the groom hit blindfolded while candy and sombreros filled the dance floor. To end the night they surprised guests with a late night pizza delivery and everyone danced the night away.

There is so much to love about this beautiful blush and burgundy wedding! From the copper details to all the greenery, we hope it inspires you! And we think you will love this Blush & Copper Wedding too!
