Living in California my whole life, I have become very accustomed to sunshiny seventy degree holidays. Today I wanted to just imagine a different climate. Below are my pine cone dreams and snow flake wishes. The muted blues and warm browns just make me think of winter and want to wrap up in a cozy blanket while I watch a snow flurry fly past my window…a girl can dream…I am not so sure I could ever brave the snow on my wedding day although it does make for some beautiful images.

One of my favorite things about the summer is all of the delicious ripe fruit that the sun coaxes into its sweetest and most delicious state. One of my favorite of all the summer sundries is a ripe juicy peach. Not only are they a yummy snack they are also just such cute element to add to a design scheme. They, like tulips, can really lend themselves well to so many different settings and situations. I enjoy that they are fairly symmetrical and nice and round yet are covered in a variety of colors. Check out all of the beautiful ways you can incorporate them into something other than your picnic basket.
