I adore wedding hats! I love grooms in hats, bridesmaids in hats and of course brides in hats. Hats add a touch of timeless elegance that we’ve seen for generations, in fact my mom wore a hat on her wedding day. Even though I love winter, I must say this sunny Mexico beach is looking pretty amazing right now! Especially with all the bright colors – pink, blue, orange, teal and green… I’m obsessed with the vibrant bridesmaid dresses. Jillian Mitchell captured all the colors beautifully! The couple kept the ceremony cabana simple using only white flowers and linens allowing the color to pop from the bridal party. It’s the perfect balance!

I’m a sucker for beautiful lighting! There’s nothing better than when it’s soft and coming through the trees… there’s just something magical about it. Amy & Jeremiah were married at a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Grass Valley, California at Empire Mine Historic Park, with a reception on a rooftop deck filled with twinkle lights. Colorful vases filled with flowers including her favorite lavender, succulents placed into little containers, and the smallest added details were everywhere. Their favors were honey in fabric wrapped jars, and table runners made of burlap adorned each table. Amy & Jeremiah live in Korea, and came to California for their wedding since that’s where Jeremiah’s family is from.

Today, Veteran’s Day, we want to take a moment to thank all the men and women who have served and are currently serving our country.  We are so blessed to live in a free country because of the selfless and courageous veterans of the United States military!  Between our Be Inspired team member Ashley‘s brother being deployed with the 578th Battalion (keep them in prayer!) and our involvement with Operation Gratitude, I have always been inspired by these brave Americans and today is no different.  You might remember the posts we have done in the past about providing wedding magazines to the troops as well as some great 4th of July inspiration.  We have another military inspired post today, this time about those hunky grooms in uniform!  There’s really nothing quite like a man in uniform and especially on a wedding day!  We hope you all are enjoying your day off of work and take the time to remember the reason behind it!

We believe that giving gives back, and we are very aware of the poverty and hunger that is a part of this world. We’re so  fortunate to live where we do and not have to worry about where our next meal is coming from, so we want to give back to those less fortunate. We are starting a campaign today for the month of September in which every new like we get on FACEBOOK we will donate 1 can* to Feeding America

Here’s some facts about hunger in America and the organization:

- One in six Americans is battling hunger, which is about 51 million Americans
- Feed America feeds 37 million neighbors each year
- A $1 dollar donation provides 8 meals, so donating $25 provides 200 meals!
- Every year Feed America distributes over three billion pounds of food and grocery products

Today we are inspired by green wedding details! Green is one of the most popular wedding colors, and it’s no surprise since the color translates so well on cakes, in flowers, as decor, food and even a wedding dress. It’s also pretty obvious that green is my absolute favorite color! My office, house and wedding are all green! I love the fresh feel of green, it’s one of the most natural colors and it is perfect when used in an outdoor venue! As we have shared before, green has more than surface beauty. It symbolizes living and thriving, it is growth, abundance and forward motion. We see it daily at traffic lights signaling people to move ahead, on a vine bearing new fruit, and in tiny stems pushing their way upward from the earth.
