I love it when brides and grooms are captured having FUN! It makes me wish I were at that party! I was inspired by Snippet and Ink’s guest post about Love and Laughter that she did while I was away on my honeymoon. My wedding was an amazing day, but what I really took away from it was how much fun my husband and I had. So kudos to the brides and grooms who let loose and fill their wedding day with laughter!

You’ve seen our love for confetti, hearts, and buttons, so you know that we love all the fun elements of weddings! Balloons are another one of our favorites. They seemed a little too trendy for a while but we still love the pop of fun and color they give to any wedding! Whether they are hung from posts, or released after the kiss, it is a fun way to mark a celebration! And as Cleveland from Family Guy once said, “In case you didn’t know, a balloon tied to a mailbox is an international symbol for party over here!”

I’ve been a California girl my whole life and have spent a large portion of my life on the beach. And now, with an office just 2 blocks from the beach I know I am truly blessed!  There’s nothing like the salty breeze on your skin and the sand between your toes. Especially TODAY. It’s a scorcher here in Southern California. Finally feels like true summer weather!

For all the couples that got to spend their special day at the beach, it must have been such a treat!! What a beautiful and calming experience to begin your life together one on of earth’s most exquisite gifts is truly a blessing!

Who knew little circles of paper and strips of ribbon could add so much to a wedding?! Confetti sprinkles a perfect pop of color and fun – not to mention it makes for a great photo! It’s one of my favorite things to toss on the bride and groom as they make their grand exit!

There are many ways that a bride and groom can customize their wedding day, but using letters is one of my favorite! Including their initials as decor adds such a sweet personal touch. Remember that super cute engagement session from onelove Photography we featured? Well Mark and Andrea got married! Sara from onelove Sent over their beautiful wedding and we’re so excited to feature it. Here is what the bride Andrea had to say about their big day:

“From the beginning Mark and I really focused on what we enjoyed and things that we liked – whether or not everything exactly matched. We wanted to incorporate all the things we enjoyed and we wanted the day to be fun and a really an enjoyable celebration for everyone. From the venue, to the colors to the funfetti cupcakes (Mark’s very favorite type of cake) the wedding really reflected both of our involvement and not just mine. My favorite moment of the day was right after the wedding when everyone was leaving the church, Mark and I were waiting in one of the wings of the church and we were just smiling and looking at each other and couldn’t believe we were actually married! Just sitting with him in that quite moment made me so happy. I loved the whole night with all our friends but even more I loved just being there with him.”

With so many wedding gown options out there, it’s hard to choose a favorite, I know I tried on a ton of dresses before I found “the one”. One cute option for wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses and even wedding decor, is the use of pockets. Grooms also look dashing with a pocket square in their coat! Not only are they handy but they also make cute photos of the bride with her hands in her pockets, it almost gives a warm casual feel to a very formal day!

I think everyone knows that I am in love flowers. It’s no secret They make everything better and happier! The only problem with flowers is they only last a few days, a week at max. Today I’d love to share some of my favorite flower alternatives that may not have the touch or aroma of a real flower, but are still beautiful! Whether they are made of paper, plastic, ribbon or fabric the best thing about flower alternatives is they last for forever!  You can enjoy your bouquet and boutonnieres as wedding mementos for years to come!

In my opinion, ribbons are a great addition to a celebration, kind of like ruffles! I love how they can add texture and movement to any party, plus they’re a great way to incorporate your color palette. Whether they’re blowing in the breeze, hanging from bouquets, or dangling from chairs, ribbons just add an extra bit of flair. Take a look below at the MANY ways we’ve seen ribbons used in weddings!
