header_blue-white_1000FMN headshotIf you are getting married or know of someone who is married and who opted to not purchase a wedding album from their photographer, then you will surely want to reach out to Laura Reoch of Forget me not Design! Many brides get a CD of high resolution images from their photographer after their wedding, look at them a few times and then either store away the CD or if you are like one unfortunately gal I met, sadly lose the disc. All that money and those beautiful images..down the drain. So here is what you need to do, get your disc and run straight to San Francisco based, couture album designer Forget Me Not Design, who will whip out a beautiful custom wedding album that you will neither lose nor want to put away! No cheesy page protector pockets included.

With a background in photography, Laura knows just how to piece together a dream album. Laura attributes much of her album making skills to her mentor, Deanne Delbridge, who in Laura’s words, “taught me how to see the story inside of a photograph and to address every detail, no matter how small.” Her other great inspiration is none other than her husband Matt who is a fine art and wedding/event photographer. She is passionate about creating beautiful coffee table books full of lovely images that share life. For more inspiration you can follow Laura’s  blog and twitter!

I love Laura’s amazing design concepts and how she tells life stories with pure art (and I am not just saying that because I am her proud publicist- I really am That in LOVE  with what she creates!) My favorite album she designs is from her Eco Couture Earth Collection. All the paper is 100% recycled. She stands up for  environmentally conscious weddings and being “green” with art and bringing it to life on paper. Almost every editor I spoke to on my recent east coast media trip either personally never had an album made from their wedding or knew someone who never purchased one from their photographer and still only have a  disc of images to show for their beautiful day. Planners don’t let this happen to your brides! Brides…don’t let this happen to you!

main_headerAfter being in 10 weddings as a bridesmaid there are really two choices you have, tell the next person who asks you to get real, or use all of your acquired knowledge and open a really great bridesmaid boutique. That is just the path that Keri and her business partner Jenni from Twirl boutique took and we are sure glad! The girls have built not only an adorable brand but a great business catering to the bridesmaids of the world. It is an honor to stand beside the bride as she pledges her life to her love, not such a honor to don some hideous color combination of taffeta in a tea length. I love that this somewhat over looked bridal category has finally been focused on and in the cutest way!

Twirl consistently stocks both the latest trends and some of the hottest wedding gown designers like Badgley Mischka and Melissa Sweet. Beyond Twirl’s fab dresses, some of the accessories you will find are to die for! From groomsmen ties to wedding themed sweats. They have all the players of the supporting roles covered! If you find yourself needing to pick bridesmaid dresses and would like your friends to still like you after purchasing them, I would suggest you go to the Twirl boutique in Scottsdale if you are local, if not have no fear-you can order right off the website!
