Inspired by Timeless Wedding Day Hats

I adore wedding hats! I love grooms in hats, bridesmaids in hats and of course brides in hats. Hats add a touch of timeless elegance that we’ve seen for generations, in fact my mom wore a hat on her wedding day. A bride who chooses to wear a hat on her wedding day can be elegant, but she could also be fun and have a sense of humor! Take a look below at some of our favorite bridal hats!

Inspired by Emerson Made

I want to share one of my favorite sites with you today – Emerson Made! I’m so inspired by their style, their accessories and their blooms. The masterminds behind these gorgeous creations are Emerson and her husband Ryan. I asked Emerson Made about how they got started and what inspires them, and here’s what Ryan had to say:

“In terms of getting started, Emerson initially made some fabric flowers for herself. People would stop her on the street and ask her where she got them. One thing led to another and not to long there after we had grown enough to hire a staff at our mill in New Hampshire. Since then we have had a growing focus on clothing and accessories. However we do have a new revamped line of flowers coming out shortly. For inspiration, she borrows the best things from everyday life and finds inspiration in all she see’s of nature and city streets. But most of all she focuses on things that bring out and provoke the positive within.”

Inspired by Ban.do: Romantic Headpieces for Unconventional Brides

One of the things I am currently lusting over and hoping to incorporate into one of my wedding activities is a fabulous head piece from Ban.do…they have soooo many great pieces that could be perfect for many different occasions. Really the perfect instrument to turn a blah hair day into an extra posh and polished one! They have a few different lines. The black label is their most elite and the heart by ban.do is more for your everyday running around. I love all of their bridal pieces and unlike a veil could see myself wearing one of them post-nuptials. Some of the things that make Jen and Jaime (the creative mastermind’s) pieces unique are, they are all hand made and they each come with their very own haiku! Inspired by These Hats

Hats have always had some presence as a bridal apparel option. My mom wore a hat on my parents’ wedding day and I so wish I could get my hands on a digital copy of an image of her from that day for all of you to see. Ever since I was a little girl I always said that when I grow up and get married I want to wear a hat in my wedding just like my mom did. Whether or not I do decide to wear one for my wedding next year, I think hats add a a touch of timeless elegance and I just can’t get enough of them! It seems we are seeing a lot of the cage veil these days and as much as I adore them, I would love to see some daring brides take a courageous step and choose some less mainstream head gear for their wedding walk. There are so many options out there. Hats off to the below images of the beautiful brim shaded brides and grooms. Have a fabulous weekend!
