I love weddings with unexpected pops of color and this bride looks super cute in her turquoise jacket and red shoes! This wedding shot by Flory Photo is an amazing tribute to color without being excessive! There were over 1000 paper cranes incorporated in the wedding. I love that it not only adds a fun touch to the decor but also incorporates the brides heritage (cranes are a Japanese custom for good luck). And their library first look is so sweet! Amazing!

We love brides with amazing style – tights, boots, cardigan… and this bride has it all!

Eric and Erin decided to forego the large scale wedding and just invite a few close family members to one of their favorite vacation spots - Bar Harbor, Maine. They wed on the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, one of the most romantic places I’ve ever seen! Imagine the view, the breeze and the serenity this couple had while saying their vows! The lovely team from Sweetest Thing coordinated and styled their wedding and Rebecca Hansen was there to capture it all!

Inspired by This Real Wedding-Gondola Ride Elopement

There is something so romantic and spontaneous about elopements! I love that the focus is on the commitment the couple’s making, and not about a crazy huge wedding. When I saw this wedding in my inbox I thought it was perfection. Sarah and Ryan had a surprise elopement in British Columbia, Canada! They were on a ski trip with good friends and surprised them by saying “I do” on the gondola ride up to the top of the mountain. Don’t you just die over the view?! Here’s what the bride had to say about her big day:

“We got married on the Peak 2 Peak Gondola (the longest gondola in the world) & surprised our two witnesses by taking off our ski cloths & revealing a full tux & wedding dress underneath. We later went skiing in our wedding attire with our two witnesses! Instead of a large wedding, we decided to invest our money in a custom made ceremony (which was beautiful) and incredible photography.”

I love the feel of beach weddings! Most times it means letting go of fussy details and just enjoying the environment that surrounds you, especially when you’re at a fun destination. Vivianna and Daniel’s wedding was no exception to this theory. Their 90 guest wedding took place in Playa del Carmen Mexico at the Rosewood Mayakoba Resort and Viv looked stunning in her Monique Lhuillier lace gown. Lucky for me, I happen to know the bride! We went to Santa Clara University together and were Delta Gamma sorority sisters! When I saw the images her Orange County based photographer Andre Niesing captured I was SO excited to share them with all of you. What a beautiful and intimate wedding! Don’t the groom and his groomsmen look dapper in their khaki suits and turquoise ties?

I received an email a while back of a beautiful wedding shot by Christi Nelson of Rawsii Photography. Josiah and Danielle were recently married in Fort Meyers, Florida and are the selfless founders of a non-profit organization called Sonnyvilla. The pair are both in full time ministry, which doesn’t afford for a lavish wedding. The focus of their wedding is the beautiful scenery and bride and groom . I love the soft color of the bridesmaids dresses and how they compliment the scenic views of the ocean. More than the images, I love the story of how it came to be that they booked their photographer. The story is full of details that have to be more than coincidence. I am so glad that Shira Weinberger brought this beautiful wedding to us just in time for our first real wedding feature! I fell in love with the uniqueness (and the bride’s shoes) immediately upon looking at the images. The colors and scene look so inviting and enticing! I am sure you will agree!

The details: The fab photographer is Shira Weinberger, Alicia and Joel were married at the Metropolitan in Long Island City, which is an old renovated electrical parts factory.
