Inspired by Southern California Fine Film Photography by Lane Dittoe

I don’t think it’s any secret how much I LOVE film photography, and Lane Dittoe is definitely one of my all time favorites. His images make me feel like I’m witnessing the events he captures in person, rather than just looking at pictures! Maybe it has something to do with his 10+ years of experience in our industry and his obvious love for art and weddings! His photographs are timeless and effortless, an amazing combination in my book! Unsure? Just check out the images below… And please, try not to drool! I spent way too much time on his website pouring over my favorites. There were so many more, but I had to force myself to stop staring at them so I could actually go back to work : )

Today (and everyday!) we love the amazing photographer Leo Patrone. My team and I have had the chance to get to know him and work with him and I have to say that he is one of  the sweetest people in the industry! No ego, just pure talent. You can really tell that he loves what he does, it comes across in his gorgeous work. Here’s the story behind the artist:

I was born in Argentina and moved to the US when I was 14. I had always been interested in art and music, but after I shot a Canon AE1 for the first time, I fell in love with photography. My approach to photography is fine art, and I shoot exclusively with film, because I love its timeless look and feel. I have a unique process: I shoot every event myself, and I personally develop and scan all of my own film. Having control over the whole process ensures that my images have a consistent quality, color, look, and feel. I love shooting weddings worldwide; I’ve photographed events in Italy, Spain, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia, Argentina and all over the US. When shooting weddings, my main goal is to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera, so they can be themselves and have photographs that make them happy and reflect their unique personalities.
