I think it’s pretty obvious how much I love Anthropologie! Not only do they sell cute (yet expensive) clothing but they also have great accessories, household items and amazing window displays! I was very inspired the other day when I was in one of the stores and I thought that using all Anthropologie items for your bridesmaids would be so fun and creative! We received such a fabulous response from our post on mix and match bridesmaids dresses we decided to create 5 different bridesmaids looks for different themes! So ironically yesterday as I was preparing today’s post I received the most amazing hand written note/package in the mail from Stephanie Williams. Her kind words brought a smile to my face and warmed my heart. She wrote, “I just wanted to send you a little thank you gift for helping to promote my work through featuring it on your blog and by word of mouth. I’ve heard from several peers that they heard about me through you, and I can’t thank you enough for being excited and inspired by our work and sharing it with others.” Stephanie, thank you for being grateful for me- you really do give back. It’s people like you who motivate and inspire me to continue to give and help others. So… THANK YOU!

Although Stephanie’s work is focused primarily in Southern California her portfolio contains photographs from all over the world. I love her style. Each shot looks like it was captured on a warm sunny afternoon in some quaint far off land. She is just as calming and laid back as her photos. In her own words, Stephanie says this about her work and what inspires her, “I am inspired by so many different things, I usually sum it all up into two words…love + life. Golden sunset light, timeless romance, nature, peeling paint and texture and worn color, fashion and editorial magazines, images by Rodney Smith, the awesome people we get to meet and photograph, breathtaking cinematic shots and period films like Atonement and The Painted Veil, traveling and exploring new places, and pretty much anything you find in an Anthropologie store. I find myself drifting into Anthropologie to see their latest displays and vintage finds, and it pretty much gets my creative juices flowing every time. And of course, I’m constantly inspired and challenged by working alongside my husband. We motivate each other and challenge each other at every shoot and have a blast at the same time – he is my best friend and the love of my life, and I could not ask for a better career that one that could be shared with him…”

I love so many of the images below and the ethereal feel Stephanie captures. I am continually inspired by Stephanie’s work and excited to keep reading her blog and tweets to stay abreast of all the beauty she is capturing.

Many of you may remember, my love for all things lace.  There is one other textile I find equally divine; To me there is nothing more fabulous than a swirly, textured, flourish of ruffles. I love them! A ruffle can add pizazz to the most boring of things and make the most rough and tumble gal look like a polished little lady. Too bad we can’t slap a ruffle on some peoples’ personalities (slight chuckle). I love when a bride chooses to incorporate ruffles into her wedding especially beyond her dress. Speaking of dresses, in my own search I definitely tried on the lovely Amsale ruffled collard number below. Stay tuned to see if I end up cloaked in ruffles at the alter!  Below are some great examples of how you can incorporate ruffles into your wedding day, the events leading up to it, and in your every day fabulous life! Might I add that in honor of our  “Inspired by: Ruffles” post, my staff, (the inspiration team) is donning them proudly even though we are in the midst of  moving to our new office! Green Wedding Shoes has been a daily read of mine for a while. I remember how amazed I was to find out that owner, Jen Campbell, is not solely a blogger but has a full time high powered job also! She is a Creative Director who has worked on many high profile projects and only after planning her own wedding in 2008 did she catch the wedding fever! Thus the birth of one of my favorite bridal blogs. Just like us, Jen’s hope is to help others find inspiration. I have had the pleasure of spending time with her and getting to know her on a personal level and she is the real deal. She is genuine, warm, always smiling, and someone you can trust. I find inspiration in a lot of places. Here are some of my current inspirations:

I love everything about this wedding – the barn venue, the hundreds of lights hanging from the ceiling, the sweet homemade details, and the photography of One Love Photo. The vintage feel of Heather’s photography is just so lovely and inspiring.

Letterpress work from Studio On Fire. Their blog showcases great typography, color, and design. They often feature invitations, but all their work is inspiring. They post almost daily and every post is awe-inspiring.

Dessert tables, candy bars, yummy little treats! I love all the creative/fun ideas brides are now creating for their wedding and/or rehearsal.
