We can assume you aren’t new to the world of dry shampoo. Probably because it’s the best invention since sliced bread… well, you get the picture. As fans of both the product that makes 2, 3, (and even) 4 day old hair look super fresh, and of Drybar, we couldn’t wait to try the new Drybar Detox Whipped Dry Shampoo Foam! Yes, it’s a foam! Different from their first dry shampoo in spray form (which we still love!), it comes as an ultralight powderless foam. Hesitant? Don’t be! Here’s how to use it, and why we immediately fell in love.
Shake and squeeze a small amount onto your palm, and massage onto your scalp. As you toss, shake, and fluff your hair – like you would do with any other dry shampoo – the foam will absorbs oils and disappear.
Now, why is it any different from other dry shampoos? First, the scent! We can’t help it, the delicious fragrance was the firs thing we noticed when popping open the product. It has the coveted signature Drybar Blanc scent and isn’t too strong.
Additionally, it’s SO light and fluffy! With other dry shampoos we have experienced a sort of crusty feel or white color post-use. The Detox Whipped Dry Shampoo Foam hi-jacks your previous misconceptions of dry shampoo. It doesn’t leave behind any sticky feeling or colored residue. Hallelujah! After whipping our hair back and forth (just because we wanted to – not required) our hair – and hands – seemed to be scotch free of the formula. This also makes it easy to use on the go; you don’t have to worry about powder getting everywhere, having to wash your hands post application, or filling your car with a cloud of spray.
Finally, beyond the texture and scent of the Drybar Whipped Dry Shampoo Foam, we love the way our hair looks and feels afterward. And that’s the most important part, right? So, how does it feel, you ask? Ultra soft, extra voluminous, and like we can go another 3 days before we wash it ;). Just look how fab, our editor Natalie’s hair looks after a dollop of this bad boy! Fresh and voluminous.
