Wild Animal Birthday Party

We can’t get enough of this roaring fun wild animal birthday party on our baby blog today! The theme took on a life of it’s own with lions, and tigers, and bears – oh my! With two-year-olds and parents both running around with zebra striped band-aids and party hats with “roar” and “wild” on them this party rocked the pride lands! Loralee Alcantara designed it all for her precious Hailey’s 2nd birthday – here’s how it came together:

Our little Hailey may be petite and oozes with cuteness, but she sure is “wild at heart” and packed with a ferocity and toughness that will keep her roaring through toddler-hood with confidence! We wanted to celebrate our wild and wonderful 2 year old with a modern, bold and edgy theme mixed with feminine, cute and playful touches — embodying strength and beauty! So I styled the party with freehand style typography; white tigers, marble textures; soft faux furs; and a color scheme of black and white with accents of lavenders, and blush.

The dessert table featured the cake artistry of Hey There, Cupcake! My friend Mélisa created homemade cookies n’ cream marshmallows with shards of tasty cookie chocolate, marbled chocolate pyramids, macarons with blackberry white chocolate ganache filling, and mini vanilla cupcakes with mascarpone and blueberry whipped frosting. The 3D typography backdrop was a wild and fun collaboration with The Dainty Lion. The unpredictable mix of cinder blocks with free flowing, elegant florals throughout the event was perfectly fitting with the theme.

Activities included bubble fun, wild animal figurines, scratch art, and hopscotch, but kids (and parents!) especially had endless enjoyment scribbling in the sky with homemade ribbon wands. I put a lot of energy into practical parting gifts for our lil wild ones, so to help them tough out their inevitable cuts n scrapes, I created “Ouch Kits.” Each travel tin comes with natural “Boo-Boo Balm,” safari print “Brave Bandages,” and “Mighty Me” Reward Stickers. Heart lollipops with bling sticks by Candied Cakes were also a sweet, irresistible treat!
