Melody Brandon’s Blue Jeans Baby Shower

If you’re familiar with Sweet and Saucy Shop’s innovative and amazing desserts you won’t be surprised by owner, Melody Brandon‘s, amazing shower on our baby blog today! This blue jeans baby shower was pulled together by talented Tastemakers, Jesi Haack and Carissa of JL Designs who were inspired by Shibori tie dying techniques, indigo, and denim! We love the denim pocket utensil holders they DIY-ed and that incredible dessert table backdrop Jesi created using varying hues of denim fabric strips and braids! Not to mention the dessert table itself complete with pumpkin cake mason jars with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and salted caramel! Yum! Here’s what they had to say about this super cute shower celebrating Melody’s baby boy to be!

We incorporated a mix of retro inspired chairs that contrasted nicely with the wood table, but we wanted it to still feel femme so we brought in brass candlesticks and glass/gold Anthropologie lanterns, faux sheepskin pillows, crystal glassware, gold flatware and denim braids which wrapped each wooden flower box. Flowers were a mix of textured white dahlias, ranunculus, garden roses and lisianthus (our favorites!), paired with flowing greenery and foliage.

We had a really fun tie dying station as well to keep guests busy! A few girls brought simple packs of white bibs, burp cloths and onesies and we used runner bands to wrap the items and get patterns similar to shibori. It was so fun to make them and then unwrap the articles at the end of the party to see all the different patterns and styles!
