Getting Ready For Baby

We have some exciting news to share – our editor Ashley is expecting her first baby this December! We’ve all jumped on the baby train- helping her come up with nursery ideas, finding great products to make her life as a new mom easier and passing along any tips and advice we’ve come across. As we shared earlier this week, we heard about the Just Born products and knew they were right up our alley – stylish, practical, made with quality, and affordable. Ashley is here to share with you about the different products she chose from Just Born and why. And be sure to keep an eye out for more fun posts from Ash, including her baby must have’s and her finished nursery (It’s gonna be SO cute!)!

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to give you a little insight into how we’re preparing for our first baby. Now that I’m well into my 2nd trimester, I’ve gotten to the fun part – shopping for baby! The more I read and shopped around, the more I realized I wanted to invest in quality and function for my little one. I hit the jackpot when I came across Just Born – practical, multi-functional AND stylish!

The Safe Sleep collection is what first caught my eye. As a new mom, I know it’s going to take me a bit to learn how to properly swaddle! So, I picked out a few of the Deluxe Swaddles. It’s fool proof for parents with a pre-cut pattern and velcro wraps. It also has head support and mesh vents to ensure baby sleeps comfortably! I also picked up a few of the Wear-a-Blankets. Again – they’ve thought of everything – air vents on the side and a bottom-up zipper to make middle of the night changes a little easier. Plus, they have so many styles, colors and patterns available… it was hard to narrow it down. Helping baby sleep comfortably – check!

Next up on the list – bath time. If my baby is anything like my husband, they’re going to want to be enveloped in a cozy bathrobe the second they’re out of the tub. When I saw the hooded bath robes, I just knew we had to have one! When it arrived in the mail, I was a little jealous they didn’t come in adult sizes – it’s so plush and soft! We went with the hippo design, and I can’t wait to use it!

Last on the list was finding a nursery blanket. We hadn’t figured out the nursery scheme yet, but I love all things neutral (shout out to anyone else out there whose favorite color is white!)… so I wanted a blanket that I could not only use in my nursery, but have in my living room or bedroom and still have it match my decor. I know, I know… but sometimes it’s the little things! We chose a grey and white elephant blanket. It’s ultra plush, chic and will be a blanket my baby can use all through toddler-hood too.

If you haven’t checked out Just Born before, head over to their site – I promise you won’t be disappointed!
