We are smitten with these sweet family maternity photos on our baby blog today! The maternity photo shoot is set on one of the most beautiful and quaint streets in London. And that perfect backdrop is all this family of three-going-on-four needed to be photo-ready. Their true joy and love shine through the screen; not only did photographer, Diane Sotero, get to capture the excitement over a baby on the way, but also, the fun that comes from having a toddler a part of the mix! The big sister shows off plenty of smiles, giggles, and a few adorable scowls that are impossible not to love!

There are some families that you know you’re going to love spending time with from the first email. The Queathem’s were one of those special families. Since the first time Candace sent me a message sharing her idea of the perfect family maternity photos, I knew it would be one of a kind.
The Queathem Family just moved to London from the U.S and they wanted to capture the colorful, cozy side of London seen in the mews houses for their family session. When Candace sent me pictures of the location, I couldn’t believe I was going to shoot there. We chose the West Kensington neighborhood to be the main location of the shoot. Kynance Mews is known as one of the most beautiful streets in London. I thought it would be crowded since it is such a famous location but it is a calm, beautifully quiet neighborhood.
We laughed and chatted throughout the entire session. I could have stayed all day with them- and almost did! When I am photographing parents with their babies I always keep my own family in mind. I think of every single feeling that I’d want to remember years from now. I think of what my children would want to know about our relationship. Then, I translate it into the images for my clients. I cherish the joy, love, and wonder that we can see in these images. The wait for a second child is such a wonderful time in the life of each member of the family and I’m glad they chose me to capture this moment, saving a timeless memory and sharing it with loved ones now and in the future.
