Diaper Bag Essentials

Toting tots & babes around requires a lot of things. Things to keep them entertained, to keep them clean, and to keep them fed. These things are the essentials we (moms, Ash & Leila) never (can’t) leave the house without. And the super cool backpack we carry them in :).

Diaper Bag Essentials - Inspired by This

1. Diaper Bag

I did a bid of searching to try and find a diaper bag manly enough for my husband’s style, functional enough to please his engineer ways and comfortable enough to where he wouldn’t mind lugging around all of baby’s items. Those 3 criteria led me to one product – this backpack from PacaPod. It’s a fully functional backpack and can also clip onto our stroller. We love it!

2. Snack packs

This is one of my favorite food storage vessels to throw in my diaper bag! It has 2 separate compartments and the spoon that comes with it is great too. It doesn’t spill which is obviously the most legit part!

3. Wipes

Babyganics has so many amazing products that we both use ALL the time, but these face wipes (and the hand sanitizer too) make cleaning up on-the-go a breeze.

4. Pacifiers

In my opinion, you can never have too many pacifiers in your diaper bag… they’re like socks in the dryer – they’ll disappear on you! So keep plenty around juuuuust in case. My favorite is the MAM brand – they have all different shapes and sizes depending on the age of your baby. And their designs are the cutest!

5. Portable changing station

The Skip Hop Pronto changing station is such a reliable changing station to protect your baby from dirty surfaces when you’re on the run (like at the airport  or in a public restroom). Plus, no one needs dirty baby’s booty getting on any other surfaces either.

6. Happy Baby Puffs

The quickest way to get my kids to calm down when they are hungry or tired and we are still on the go-“here.. eat some puffs.” They are organic and won’t really fill them up and spoil a meal.

7. Travel Drying Rack

If you need to make a bottle for your babe on the go I use this great travel drying rack when I have to wash the bottle before bringing it back home. Most of the time you won’t need to wash and dry and bottle after you use it, but when I’m out for a full day and need to re-use the bottle, or off at a friend’s or relative’s house, I like having my own cleaning and drying systems to keep things sanitary!

8. Blanket

This aden & anais swaddle is a thin/breathable blanket to throw over baby in the stroller if you are out on a walk and it gets brisk.

9. Sippy cups

Best sippy cups! Ever. Even when baby dumps the cup upside down or when there is only a little water left inside, these hold all the contents inside and also make it possible to get every last drop.
