Welcome to the County Fair! We absolutely loved transforming our client’s backyard into a fun and colorful space to celebrate her daughter’s 1st birthday. We kept the color palette somewhat traditional but with softer tones – strawberry red, soft yellow, mint, and light blue. We wanted the decor to have a slightly rustic feel while also bringing in carnival-style elements.

The linens were red checkered and we paired it with wooden cross back chairs. The centerpieces had an organic feel with greens, bright florals, and even real apples! The kid’s table had matching mini wooden cross back chairs and a colorful balloon garland running down the center.

Our favorite decor element was the Popcorn Bar. We had a high wooden table with a variety of popcorn flavors in apple baskets. We had a chalkboard popcorn bar sign with gold ferris wheels on both sides that held little cups filled with popcorn. The bunting banner and balloons surrounding completed the look. Guests were able to fill up red and white containers with the popcorn of their choice.

We wanted to create the perfect photo op area using the cake table. We had a circular balloon arch as the backdrop and the cake was under a red and white striped awning on top of a high wooden table.

For lunch, we served up bbq style food to go along with the theme. For dessert, we had an ice cream cart roll in serving up a variety of flavors where the kids can then add their favorite toppings. The kids also stayed busy with a variety of activities such as a petting zoo, balloon artist, carnival games, and a baby zone for the little ones. Since there were so many activities our team created a multi-directional sign to guide everyone.

The favors were mini strawberry rhubarb pies for each family to take home. We package them in a craft pie box with red twine, wooden forks, and a favor tag.
