Minted Weddings hosted a little brunch recently for wedding editors and bloggers in NYC to celebrate their new collection coming out and when we saw it we were immediately inspired! The event decor would be perfect for a bridal shower (heck, even a cute baby shower)! The peach, pink, and mint colors are super trendy right now and we’re dying over all of the little details that made this event extra amazing. Check out the dessert table…the backdrop with all of the different colors and sizes of pinwheels is incredible! Everything from the gold fringed letters on the wall to the hanging ticker tape style garland is totally something we would love to do at an event.

Inspired by This Backyard Ojai Engagement

If you haven’t been to Ojai in Southern California you are definitely missing out! It’s a gorgeous beachy location with hints of farmland…the perfect mix for a casual, outdoor engagement session like this one. First of all, the Ojai Rancho Inn had some amazing props to work with. That retro style barbecue, a fun ranch style pool house, and of course that super trendy yellow and cream vintage trailer…too good! Mix in a cool couple with amazing style and it’s easy to see why this session from Troy Grover Photography is one of our faves. She’s rocking those coral skinny jeans and we’re always big fans of a guy in a gingham shirt like this one. Both of their outfits work perfectly for the organic feel of the location with one neutral piece and another pop of color, cool and classic!

When we saw this shoot we couldn’t help but share it with all of you! We’re loving all of the gorgeous colors of the flowers especially. It’s the perfect mix of pastels and rich bright tones with the roses, anemones, and ranunculus. It’s perfect for spring and summer inspiration and we can’t wait to see more and more neon touches like the bride’s amazing statement necklace make their way to the wedding world!

Inspired by This Fishing and Nature Family Session

What would your perfect summer day with your family look like? Would it involve a picnic basket and fishing pole? Or maybe a hike out to your favorite spot underneath the trees? This super cute family of three got together for some photos and did exactly that! They brought out their fishing poles and a trendy red plaid blanket to set up a little picnic together. Our favorite type of family photos are when they capture an everyday activity that they will look back on and smile on. We’re loving their trendy outfits with his chambray shirts and her ombre hair…always a fan of the indie/hipster style over here!

Inspired by This Dreamy Snow Filled Engagement

While some of us over here are enjoying the sunny days of Spring we know that some parts of the country got hit with a random snow storm last week! But cold winter weather doesn’t have to be all bad…take this super cute snowy engagement session for example! Abby and Steven took advantage of the pretty white snowfall and bundled up in their coziest knits and pea coats for a winter wonderland-esque shoot. Chances are if you just got engaged then you’re in the midst of planning a winter wedding. Why not take a note from this sweet couple and embrace the dreamy white landscape! Pair a chunky knit cardigan and printed scarf with your wedding dress or stay away from getting “cold feet” with boots and cute wool socks. Don’t let snow keep you from getting outdoor photo…grab your pea coats and go for it!

Inspired by This Cream, Plaid, and Romantic Engagement

Today’s engagement session is a gorgeous mix of formal and casual sent over to us by Mariel Hannah Photography! The couple, Ivan and Vina, chose to head up to Tejon Ranch where they could have nothing but gorgeous trees and rolling hills as the backdrop for their engagement photos. Both Ivan and Vina are so stylish with her cream dress and plaid shirt and his sleek grey suit and trendy oxblood sweater…we’re having trouble deciding which we like better! Either way we’re loving how the couple chose to incorporate both formal and casual looks, they look amazing. The simplicity and natural coloring of the location totally makes their outfits and beauty pop through the photos.

Inspired by This Sustainable and Organic Dinner Party

Looking to throw a dinner party that will blow all of your friends away?! Then you’ll definitely want to take notes from this indie backyard gathering! Hunt + Gather hosted a get together in a quaint backyard near downtown Los Angeles and transformed it into a charming city escape. The guests were greeted with a stunning view of downtown while the backyard surrounded them with nature, a fire, and luscious greenery. Be Inspired Networker Found Vintage Rentals provided some amazing pieces that made the dinner incredibly beautiful and uniquely special. The vintage dish ware and glasses from The Vintage Table Co. were the perfect touch of femininity against the rustic furniture.

The event stylists gave us a peek into the night..We added some special touches to make this a memorable dinner. The first being the bundle of herbs at each place setting. These herbs were picked from the cook’s (Annie) garden. Lauren (Lavender Grey) also printed menus for each place setting so the guests could sit down and salivate over what was to come. We greeted the guests with a saffron/ orange infused cocktail. The drinks were served in vintage glassware and mason jars with one large ice cube (the ones trending the bar scene these days) with an orange peel and a bit of juice in the middle of the cube. As the ice melts the orange starts to infuse the saffron infused simple syrup and bourbon. Amanda, added a little note explaining her Grandma Honey’s bourbon sipping notes. Amanda also acted as our sommelier and picked out wonderful bottles of red and white wine to accompany dinner. As an appetizer, we served with the cocktails, fried sage leaves stuffed with homemade lemon ricotta and a honey lemon drizzle. Yum! This was a big hit! We wanted to send the guests home with something else special. We added in a white chocolate raspberry scone as a take away so that when the guests woke up the next morning they had something to remember us by and a reminder that the indulgence wasn’t over yet!

Are you drooling yet, because we are! Definitely an event that sounds just as delicious as it looks!
