When Laura Gordon met up with the Malik’s they both agreed that they wanted to capture their family spending a casual day together in a beautiful location. They decided on a stunning little park complete with gorgeous garden walls and old fountains and statues. The girls are so cute running around and making goofy faces in their pretty dresses and fancy glittery TOMS. Their outfits are all perfectly coordinated and we love that the whole session just consists of them picking flowers, hiding behind bushes, and sitting in trees.

Inspired by This Arizona Dry Lake Love Shoot

Millie and Jonathan are two sweet souls with a deep passion for art and creativity that draws them together. These two are lovers of out-of-town adventures, so we snuck away to the quiet space of Saguaro Lake in Arizona for a relaxed and stunning setting. Knowing the surroundings would be so beautiful, Millie and Jonathan went with soft, neutral colors (with one exception–a pop of red lipstick) that wouldn’t be distracting to the colors of the desert and mountains, and to allow for their love to be the true focus of the shoot. Having a long distance relationship, Jonathan has been sending Millie sweet packages since their relationship began from creative pieces made by hand (he’s a graphic designer) to articles of his favorite styles for her to wear. The hat Millie is wearing is one of the very first pieces Jonathan mailed to her from his home in Chicago, so it plays a special role in their relationship. Charity Maurer shot these images while Jonathan visited from Chicago, and soon, they will get to be in the same state. Until then, these images are visual reminders of the deep love they share for one another–even from states away.

Inspired by This Pastel Backyard Wedding

Everyone wants their wedding to seem like “themselves” and capture the essence of who you are as a couple. This bride decided in order to really feel like their big day was a reflection of them, she did it all herself! Her and her mom got to work and created a beautiful outdoor wedding with a vintage, whimsical theme. They made everything from the pennants and banners to the signs on the table and the backdrop for the ceremony. During the planning process they began to collect vintage furniture, decorations, and mason jars and it sure paid off! The whole thing turned out beautiful not to mention it looked like so much fun!

Bikes, beach, and a couple of babes! Today’s engagement session is off the charts cute with their orange beach cruiser, retro VW van, and just general good looks. We, of course, love how the couple decided to keep things casual between their clothes and the locations, it gives off the perfect SoCal vibe they were going for. Make sure you don’t miss her gorgeous rose gold engagement ring too…definitely a trend we’re seeing more and more of and absolutely loving!

Ever wonder what vacation in the form of a home looked like!? Well today we have it for you with this stunner in Spain. It’s bright white exterior mixed with some cool accent colors on the inside from the walls to the doors, works perfectly with it’s overall neutral foundation. We love how the majority of the tropical and Mediterranean vibe comes from the accessories and details throughout the house. The home was built by architect Valentin de Madariaga but the interior design is by Marta de la Rica and we can’t help but be a little obsessed with her choices. Those copper lamps in the kitchen!? Definitely needing those!

Inspired by This Homegrown Orchard Wedding

We’re so smitten by Alice and Jake’s wedding sent to us by the amazing Raya Carlisle. It took place on the groom’s family’s avocado and lemon ranch in Santa Paula, CA and the way they incorporated so many unique and personal details is perfect. First of all, the wreath that Alice is wearing is made of wax orange blossoms her grandmother (who she was named after) wore for her wedding in 1943 as well as her mother for her wedding…talk about a special “something old” and “something borrowed”! The fruit/nut artwork used as table numbers were watercolors created by a friend and each fruit or nut is something the family currently grows on the ranch. And would you believe that this gorgeous ceremony was originally a donkey corral!? Incredible! It’s always fun to see how little touches like the bistro lights and handmade wooden boxes can totally transform a space.

Today’s maternity and family shoot transports us back in time with it’s classic black and white film and studio setting…and we’re loving it! With the trendiness of styled shoots complete with props and colorful outfits (which we still enjoy!) in full swing, sometimes it’s nice to take a little breather and come across something different. Cat Thrasher hit the nail right on the head with fellow photographer Eric Kelley‘s family. The Kelley family recently expanded their family with their sweet baby girl Della but before she arrived, they were able to capture some of their final days as a family of three. Lora looks absolutely stunning in every single photo and definitely has that mama-to-be glow happening!

A beautiful couple, gorgeous images by Leila Brewster, and some classic Los Angeles spots setting the scene…it doesn’t get much better than this! We think you’re going to fall in love with this simple engagement session just as much as we did. The bride to be chose some gorgeous outfits ranging from a casual weekend look to a more formal dress that we can’t help but drool a little bit over! We’re loving how they stuck to a crisp white color palette for the most part, feels romantic without being too matchy or cheesy. The mix of the laid back beach and home mixed with the city scape seems like the perfect way to capture all sides of this couple’s personality!
