Can you believe it’s November?! If you’re like us, after a busy September and October, not much sounds better than a Thanksgiving break. As we dream of a couple of days off, time spent with family and friends, and turkey ?, we bring you our first holiday fete of the season – a rustic farmhouse Friendsgiving that Joanna Gaines herself would be proud of. With beautiful mustard decor, greenery, and a focus on gathering together, it feels fresh and welcoming. Plus, there were plenty of activities for guests to enjoy from a cigar bar to an apple dipping station and hay bale lounge.

When it came time to design the Navarro’s annual Friendsgiving event, I was inspired by a pillow I have for the color palette. I knew I wanted mustard to be the main color for the event. Colored goblets and napkins were a great and easy way to pull in the color. I wanted the event to have a “wow” factor when guests arrived, so a big backdrop with yarn spelling out “gather” and a drink cart seemed like the perfect welcome for guests. The vintage car also welcomed guests and served as a photo prop as well. The tables were set up in rows to give a family style feeling to the meal. Texas Talking Pies made the cutest pies with custom messaging. Each place setting had a pie for guest to enjoy or to take home. We also had a cigar bar and ended the night with a candy apple station where the guests could choose their apple toppings. It was a great night!
