5 Ways to Brighten Up Your Home

We’re redecorating – shocking, right? Well, working at Inspired By This, means constantly being re-inspired and a big part of that comes from our surroundings. Not only did we make IBT HQ a little more colorful and fun, but we’re showing you 5 ways to brighten up your home (or office) too! 1. Accessories

Our desktop got a lot brighter when we added photos we took around L.A. onto notebook covers. Add in colorful candles, frames & magazines to finish off the look. We even like our coffee mugs to fit right in so we found this pink polka-dotted mug that we decorated with a fitting e-card that reads “Lord, give me coffee to change the things I can and wine to accept the things I can’t.” It adds a funny touch ;).

2. Tech

We are on our phones a lot, so the case has to be cute – and always charged. We personalized our phone cases using artistic pictures we took and templates on Shutterfly – a cluster of purple peonies on a simple floral template, and a sunset beach shot monogrammed with our initials. The floral print charger was the perfect addition – and adapts to fit multiple devices (woo!).

3. Wall Art

Be Bold, Be Bright, Be You. That was the theme we went with for this office makeover, so why not blow it up big on fun framed prints of some of our favorite captured L.A. moments? We absolutely love how these turned out. Now, they welcome everyone into the office with snippets of simple moments we captured ourselves to make them feel right at home.

4. Pillows

You can never have too many pillows. Plus, they are the easiest way to really change the look of a space and add color & texture. We created quote pillows that read “Invest Your Love” & “Invest Your Life” to be a little reminder to us in our office seating area. We chose hot pink and bright orange, naturally.

5. Flowers

A pretty vase full of bright blooms is a necessity in every vignette of our office!
