Rooftop Movie Theaters

If you are just as obsessed with skylines as we are, then, you will LOVE this find. Settle under the stars and witness LA camouflaged in a sea of lights, as you munch on buttery popcorn and watch movies on the big screen. One of our favorite theaters is the Rooftop Cinema Club at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre, located right in the heart of Los Angeles.

Wheel House Cheese

Who needs the wheel of fortune when you can have a wheel of cheese? Am I right ladies? Now, we don’t mean to be cheesy, but we cannot get enough of this wine and cheese foodie haven. From classes and events to cheese platters and heavenly bottles of wine, Wheelhouse Cheese is the perfect place to spend a girls night out. Carrie Bradshaw said it best, “I save my carbs for wine. It’s called priorities.”

Go to San Diego

Sun Diego, as we like to call it, acts as the perfect tropical retreat from the hustle and bustle of inner Los Angeles. From surfing to bike riding to açaí bowl hopping, San Diego is filled to the brim with summer fun. Make sure to bring your camera, so you can remember those picturesque palm trees and beaches forever.

Or Santa Barbara

We venture to Santa Barbara when we are looking to relax and replenish. From the amazing wine to the beautiful scenery and the stunning resorts, we feel totally stress-free. And the shopping *insert heart-eyed emoji here! We cannot get enough! Go to State Street to bask in the so cal sun and do some serious retail therapy.

Paddle Boarding in Marina Del Rey

This upscale seaside community makes for the perfect weekend getaway. We flee to the shore to get a tan and dip our toes in the salty sea. Go paddle boarding with your friends and enjoy the ocean breeze while gazing out at the California sunrise.

Rent a Duffy in Newport

Let us tell y’all. This is a tried-and-true way to spend your Saturday the right way. Go to Trader Joe’s and get some snacks (our picks: the milk chocolate S’mashing S’mores and the white cheddar popcorn), pick up some wine and grab your girlfriends to set out on a tour of the Newport Beach sea (Justin Bieber playlist included).

Malibu Farm

Malibu Farm is one of our cult-favorites. From their freshly-squeezed juices to their decadent salads, burgers and bites, this cafe has the yummiest (and most Instagrammable) menu. Plus, the ocean view is unreal. Talk about lunch goals. Just prepare yourself for the 10 dollar parking (but it’s worth it, we promise).

Malibu Wines Country Nights

Country up n’ wine down with Malibu Wines Country Nights. But really, what could be better than wine and country music? We can’t think of anything. Dream of two stepping with Sam Hunt as you sip on some Chianti and dance the night away.

Boozy Boba on the roof at E.P. & L.P.

This place is trendy. And when we mean trendy, we mean trendy. This hot spot is crawling with A-list actors, glamorous vacationers and industry professionals. With a killer playlist, serious hip vibes and a hand-crafted cocktail menu, the L.P. rooftop bar is a must-visit. And it doesn’t hurt that they have boozy boba (so now you can make your wildest dreams come true…watch out Urth Caffé).

Slushies at the Ace Hotel

Whoever came up with this idea truly aced it. Seriously, we adore this hotel’s rooftop bar and cannot get enough of their cocktail slushies. Take in the drop dead gorgeous view while you sip on your boozy refreshment of choice.

Angel City Brewery

We would not know what to what to do without this killer brew[ery]. Our fave events: their taco and trivia Tuesdays and run, yoga and beer Sundays. If you love beer, this is your paradise.

Twilight Concerts at the Santa Monica Pier

These concerts are some of the most talked about events every summer and we cannot complain. We love their killer line-up and their breathtaking location on the Santa Monica Pier. Make sure to buy tickets early, because these events sell out quick.

This summer tradition puts regular picnics to shame. Every summer, people flock to the Hollywood Bowl to wine and dine while listening to their favorite artists perform live. We just wish Queen B was making an appearance.

Foodies everywhere! Mark your calendars for July 9 & 10 for L.A.’s annual Food Fest. Explore the best of L.A.’s food scene and eat to your heart’s content. Personally, we enjoy digging out our gaucho pants from our middle school closets, so we can effectively indulge in all this fest has to offer.

Hit the Beach for Sunset

There isn’t really a better spot to be than Los Angeles when those summer sunsets hit. So bring a picnic or just a friend and hit the sand for some of the best views.
